I read some guys post earlier about network manipulation. There was alot of people saying, " Oh blada blah you are wrong", this that, bagging on the dude. First off, for the people who think it isn’t happening, it is. Secondly, for those who don’t think it is happening, you are idiots. When I play on Abandon and have some spawn camping moron win and I simply send a message saying nice camping, why does my connection automatically go from xbox live to local. I was in a pre-game lobby when I was kicked from the lobby and said that I could not access the halo 343 servers at the current time. I look and my thing was set to local. Now for you people who will troll, no I did not set it to local myself. I am not that stupid nor am I the type to run around a map by myself. So apparently, network manipulation is real, and is a problem. Especially when a dmr shoots back to back without any pause between shots, as if it was an assualt rifle.
… Except that network manipulation doesn’t affect people you aren’t connected to. It only works when hosting a match that other people are connected to.
I agree completely, network maniupaltion DOES exist, since a guy on my old accounts friends list used to do it constantly. Lag switching, host booting, you name it. And due to him doing something to make his IP address undetectable he hasn’t been banned from XBL. HE probably still does it as far as I’m aware (not played with him for a few months).

Umm, the guy I mentioned in my post above could disconnect people from their internet when he wasn’t connected to them. All he needed was their IP address and they were offline in about 10 seconds.

How do you know this?
you get the ip though the game you where playing with him in.
B you can also get the ip from a message sent since they just sent info to you
Then all you do is the ip you dont need to be with the other player to do so.
I used to do it to my friend just to be a -Yoink-. Its not hard to do and it happens alot because people who suck cant win a game and dont want others to be able to succeed were they fail

Because the other guy who gave him the IP address was in our party (the guy booting wasn’t playing the same game). The guy who had the victim in his game told us when he went offline, and he checked his profile to see if he was actually offline.
