Nerf/tweak splatter damage

Anyone else being driven nuts by splatter damage?

It seems so damn inconsistent. Zooming around Warzone in a hijacked Ultra ghost boosting full speed directly into enemies sprinting in my direction causes them to just bounce off with almost no damage to shields.

Faced with this fact I decide to start strafing the spire, which we hold, using the cannons to mow down unsuspecting fools crouching in the undergrowth and I start getting betrayals left right and centre where teammates have walked into my ghost and gone flying across the -Yoinking!- map to their deaths because I strafed half a metre to the left or right at about 2 miles per -Yoinking!- hour.

I know it’s always been a slight problem but teammates just keep sprinting into my ghdost when I’m hardly moving and dropping dead instantly - people have always been a bit stupid with that kind of thing but they didn’t ever die from running into an almost stationary object and it pisses me off to get booted for it, especially when I have to boost into one enemy three or four times at full speed for them to bloody die.

I think you are doing something wrong or lagging. I love splattering in those ultras. Usually get like 5-10 per war zone just in splatters

I thought lag to begin with but if that were the case I’d have thought that teammates wouldn’t touch the sun CE style for running into me and I’d have similar issues with other vehicles, which hasn’t been the case.

just bad luck I suppose?

on the bright side when I don’t get booted for -Yoink- those ultras are freaking sweet, it’s nice to use a ghost that doesn’t melt like butter on the beach against a little AR fire.

What they should nerf is the scorpion splatter. How a biologically enhanced super soldier wearing a half ton’s worth of armor could be killed by a scorpion driving at 5 mph is beyond me.

I ran around in warzone, in an ultra ghost. Accidentally hit a scorpion, tried backing up, then another FRIENDLY Scorpion squished me and the ghost in between, blowing up the ghost and crushing me.

I’d say a slight “Tweak” is needed.

The splatter damage does need tweaking. It feels really random at times: most the time I can splatter people just fine with a Mongoose, Gungoose, Ghost, etc but at other times I smashed them and they just lose their shields… and then rarely hijack me cause their wedged against the vehicle. With my teammates, they can almost kill me with tapping me with their vehicle which really annoys me. Especially when I get slotted in the head by a Battle Rifle because some -Yoink!- can’t see where he’s going!

You aren’t alone buddy. I myself had to look up this topic just to see if I wasn’t the only one. Feel much better now. I’ve had splatters where I send a person flying with no damage while they retaliated with railgun or fuel rod. Or even worse, they take barely any damage at all while riding my front bumper while I’m going full boost, and insta jack me. Or they get wedged between a wall and ghost without dying while i get jacked. They just don’t make a ghost like the used to

Clearly the new GEN-2 Mark-VI MJOLNIR is stronker then we originally thought.

They have given Spartan-IVs the edge we have always lacked as puny IIs and IIIs from previous Halos.
