Marines in halo 5 are OP when they do not need to be. I mean I you kill all the Spartans in the base you get killed how ? Because a marine shot you. The damage is the equivilant of a Spartan and 3 of them does not help. I find that I kill the marines first then get killed by the Spartan or the other way around. It makes being an attacker hard
So why not just instantly headshot them and not be killed by AI?

Wow um… Respectfully, last time I checked an assault rifle doesn’t care if it’s being held by a Marine or a Spartan… Translation: A gun does the same amount of damage no matter who is holding it.

You realize they are using the same type of assault rifle as Spartans, so they would kill you in the same amount of time as a Spartan would. Just aim for the head. (Don’t worry. I’m sure all of us have been killed by those marines more than once.)
(We’ll use any of the Armories on Stormbreak as an example.) And your problem may be which direction you are entering the base from? The sides? the top? I find it’s best to go from the top. You can funnel enemies through that one ramp up to the roof, not to mention it is a pretty easy spot to get ground pound kills.

No seriously, marines need stronger weapons in home base, like snipers or rocket launchers. And no they cant be picked up, that would be stupid
Rather than “nerfing” marines, make bases longer to capture, everytime i see someone run into a base in the respawn menu, it respawns me like 12 miles away from the base and it’s captured before i could defend

lol at all these people acting as if they’re warzone pro’s and have never been taken out by a marine, I bet you are the people who die to the starting AI. But I don’t agree with OP, the AI are frustrating but easy to handle, there are occasions where for example The Warden snipes you across the map for no reason, but that’s just rng for you.
Marines themselves are, as people state, a one headshot kill. Now it’d be a different story if they had shields and actually chased you, then id call for a nerf.
This is what being a marine in H5 is like.They wouldnt be as big of a problem if they didn’t have the equivalent to aimbot mods in MW2 and PERFECT accuracy (Not to mention the teamfire omfg)
My god they snap quick, what’s even crazier is that they know EXACTLY where to shoot you when you’re in a vehicle, such as a ghost. They’ll flank around to the side to get a hit on the spartan himself. It happens to me often. ._.

I jumped on spire with no spartans there. Problem was i didnt see 3 of the 5 marines when i jumped lol. I got -Yoinked!- up quick. I realize this is my fault. Just thought it was funny.
It’s actually pretty embarrassing, but also hilarious when you get whooped by some of those marines. Haha
