when i see a lucast army i use drop units to stun them and i use what i got
there a very squish unit very easy to kill so spamming leader powers get rid of them really quick

How about we leave Locust ranting for one of the other three hundred threads about it. We don’t need a new one.

If you get caught with locust behind your base you lost. No need to nerf them you’ll lose anyway

There is no good counter when they can teleport behind base and are a lot cheaper than buying air units which is their true counter.

Locusts are pretty easy to counter now tbh… if your playing a character that has tele, scout them, if you see locusts, wait for tele, kill them all, counter attack. You don’t even need many units to kill a teleport squad of locust usually cause they’re so week, just leave some air or anti infantry (cyclops do especially well with cutter) to defend your base and you can still have a lot of units to push. They can be annoying yes but they effectively suit their role of tier 2 building killers and you can no longer just spam them and beat someone who knows what they’re doing…

With the recent patch nerfing the speed to the same as a hunter(Which means they cannot kite units anymore!). Now the only thing to address is their ability to melt bases.
Locusts hardly do any dps if not in numbers and their counter units do work against them. example is Hornets and Cyclops, or Hunters and Banshees will always win in a engangment head on with Locusts.

I think the best thing to do to further balance Locusts is to decrease the dps it does to base turrets. What makes Locusts so good at the moment is the ability to catch a opponent out of position and melt their base while even turrets are destroyed within seconds. Whats the point to building AND upgrading turrets if Locusts can out range them as well as destroy it within seconds?

Its completely ridiculous how strong locusts are with vehicle symbiotes, they have nearly infinite range, they can attack half way across the map, everyone talks about how they’ve been nerfed, but in all reality locusts are at the strongest point they’ve been at. It’s so annoying to play against them every damn game where they get teleported behind anyone one of your teams bases and completely run the game. They are too cheap, build too quick, absolutely melt armies and base alike from insane range. I don’t understand how 343 has let a BUILDING killer unit become the main dominating core tank of the banished army. I don’t want to hear about just build counters and scout because those locusts will just kite and melt your army from range you can’t even compete with, while having to worry about them destroying your base that you’ve spent the whole game building just to get it melted in 5 seconds before you even know whats going on. I’m to the point that every game I get in is straight locusts, like its not even fun.

Locusts are classified as a building killer. They’re designed to kill turrets and break players who tried to hide behind then. Locusts are absolutely fine after the nerf

You are high. Locusts are the main core vehicle of the units as they are anti everything literally, even after the patch.

I have absolutely no problem countering them. In fact, I actually enjoy when people try to build them post patch. A few cyclopses on the hi ground makes short work of them when they try to push on my base. Add a few nightengales to your cyclopses to help if there trying to kite you. As banished a shroud and hunters work just as well. There is even a troll way to make locusts backfire on the enemy if you use Isabel’s ghost in the machine ability while the enemy locusts are at base then mac blast them right before the 13 seconds are up. The only way locusts are viable now head to head are when you combine them with shipmasters or decimus.
