Okay 343 we know you wanted to make grunts tough, but I just got 1-shot by a goblin while I had full shields in a new Banshee ultra, this boss needs some nerfing, to hard to kill and does too much damage, either that or remove the increase on the respawn timer.
Grunt goblin is crazy hard it has a 12.6k/d
No, just no. I knew these “nerf Goblin!” threads would show up as soon as it was announced. It’s fine as it is. The Goblin’s Needle Cannon is extremely anti-vehicle so do a better job maneuvering next time.
Git gud.

How about no, you “git gud” sayers know nothing of proper balancing, I’m FINE with anti-vehicle enemies, heck I prefer them, but the Goblin is Anti-EVERYTHING! Seriously just add a little nerfing, I’m not saying remove it’s anti-vehicle stuff, but make it so it doesn’t require the ENTIRE team to have vehicles at the same time, not to mention the respawn timer totally breaks this particular enemy along with all of the legendary bosses.
Once I got wheelman I was capable of tanking just about anything the Goblin threw at me other than actually smashing me.
Once you get rid of his multi-target attack, you don’t need vehicles if you’re all coordinated enough to aim for the face.
just use a tank on the damn thing…hell, even a gungoose worked fine…i think the problem is your banshee is too exposed…aerial vehicles are not the way to go with the goblin.
Speaking from experience, the only times i found banshees useful on wzff was during the defense rounds…the bosses hit far too hard for the banshees even with wheelman mod active

I like how you didn’t take cover until your face was full of needles. Who knew they would super combine?
its ment to be tough it wouldent be much of a challenge if it was easy to shoot.
I think it’s fine the way it is now. The armor/health seems a bit high, but if your entire team is focusing on it, you should be fine.
I think its fine. With a good team it can be taken out quickly.
I say leave it alone. I’m not talking about you specifically, OP, but people who expect a smooth ride on their first few games are kidding themselves. It’s supposed to taker one and trial and error to figure out the best way to approach each round and what weapons to use. Call it good design by 343 for once.
No. I’m glad Firefight is actually a challenge this time around compared to the beta.
Grunt Goblin is fine as it is currently. I always look forward to facing one in Firefight now.

You think I’m the one that doesn’t know anything about proper balancing?? Ha!! Just because it’s one of the most powerful REQs in regular Warzone doesn’t mean it’s going to be just as powerful in Firefight. The Gobin is ment to be a challenge, but he will walk all over Banshees, Scorpions, and sometimes even Wraiths and Mantises. You “Nerf This” sayers know nothing about strategy. You expect to wreck in a vehicle that works wonders on enemy Spartans and when that doesn’t work you call for a nerf. You expect everything to be handed to you, which sounds more lazy than what people make out 343 to be. You can’t charge at him guns blazing and expecting to be a god. That’s suicide, and I’m sure that everybody would agree with me there. People who are skilled with Plasma Casters and Ghost Ultras will do massive damage. Sometimes even Wraith Ultras will do the job given there is sufficient cover and the driver is skilled enough.
The Goblin is fine as it is, and from reading all the other comments, pretty much everyone else agrees with me.
If the Banshee Ultra was just as effective in any situation, then that would be ridiculously OP. Still think I’m the one who knows nothing about proper balancing?
EDIT: I don’t normally tell people to “Git Gud”, but when I do it’s extremely warranted.
ghost ultra does the job well L…

yup and the ultra banshee is really op in wzff. It needs some kind of counter and the goblin is perfect.
My team and i beat 2 goblins at the same time on stormbreak, learn how to coordinate.

It’s usually the main reason why people complain, cause their teams don’t coordinate attacks at all.
Its better to fight the goblin on ground than in air… Unless you have a phaeton or snipe it with banshee FRC
I’m not saying it isn’t true. But telling people to git good sounds kinda mean. Some people may take it differently. Maybe tell people to practice more and you will improve. But yea the grunt goblin is fine just keep ducking in and out of cover when he does the needler barrage. But his health need a little tweaking.
