Nerf Ban-Hammer for Grifball

I do like that Betrayals have consequences, but in Grifball (e.g. at the start of a round - if 8 Players hammer at the ball spawn) accidents happen.
I was playing on Bloodsport and was ground pounding from one of the ramps. Between the release (starting too charge down) and the impact the enemy stepped out and a teammate stepped into the target area. accidents happen.
I reported some people for Betrayals before (e.g. if they kill you to take a power weapon for themselve) but NEVER in Grifball because - accidents happen.
So could we please raise the bar just for this mode - so you don’t get kicked after two or three betrayals?

Agreed. My surprise on the (updated?) grifball betrayal system is coming from a different angle. Yesterday, I joined a game in progress and got betrayed immediately. Oddly, the window popped up right away asking if I wanted to boot the guy. Just seemed odd, and I didn’t want to be bothered by the distraction.

I’ve never been bothered by betrayals in grifball, and I loved how the system was treating things up until two days ago.

I average about 1 betrayal (accidental, of course) per Grifball game, and I’ve never been banned (got booted once when Grifball just came out). I’ve learned to play more carefully in Grifball and I think its fine.

That guy probably had betrayed other teammates a few times before you entered the game, and you were the betrayal that broke the camel’s back (so to speak).
