I just played a game and it took away from my current credits. I also used an app on my phone to see how many credits I have left until forerunner, before the game it said 18,### now it says 38,###. How is this possible? I have been creating custom challenges a lot lately, but I have never had credits taken away from me like this…wtf mate
You went over the cR cap with a Custom Challenge, it takes the cR from the Custom Challenge if you play a game while capped.

so if i continued to play it would have taken more?
No, it wouldn’t have taken away more. I know this because something similar happened to me not to long ago. You can hit the credit limit but still do custom challenges. If you check Halo Waypoint or the Bungie app it will show you that you were paid. Here’s the kicker. You were paid… but you weren’t. If you do ANYTHING that still falls within that day, your credits will be reset to what they were when you hit the cap. You could not play again for that day and then the credits stick for the next day so you don’t loose them… however that may be frowned upon if it becomes a habit.
Waypoint recognizes that you completed the custom challenges and pays you. However the game sees that you hit your limit a ways back and resets your credits back to where they were previously if you do anything that would otherwise earn you more credits. It’s not a glitch (unfortunately). I hope this helps a little.
