I don’t about anyone else but the few improvements that Halo 5 has made are completely dwarfed compared to the failures it has caused. There are many but I’ll just stick with the obvious fail. No split screen co-op. I have had some of my best experiences in the Halo series just by playing any campaign with a friend that is over at my house. Just turning on my console picking up the sticks and hauling -Yoink- to the forward unto dawn in the end of Halo 3 is probably the best. No longer though, in this game revivng is essential so having your friends play is a pretty good thing. Yet you can’t do that split screen. A game that basically is saying play with your friends but didn’t have split screen tells me one thing. Microsoft just wants even more money. " Oh you want to play with your friend well then you need to buy 2 Xbox ones then buy two Halo 5 games to play together and each of you have to pay for gold membership because let’s be honest, you are most likely not going to your friends house to hook up your console there when it is good to go at your house." In conclusion Microsoft 343 need to get there -Yoink- together because for -Yoink- sakes why take out split screen co-op. Now I havnt tried MP split screen because my friend and I were so pissed we just said -Yoink- it and hoped on the MC collection.
Just so you know, there is a splitscreen mega thread already and more then likely a mod will tell you to move this there.
I miss split-screen, my roommate just has to sit and watch which is a bummer even Call of duty:Black ops 3 has split-screen, It’s depressing.
- Getting in before lock
- Already talked about on a bigger thread
- The game physically cannot do splitscreen so it’ll never happen for H5
Blame the Xbox One & not these wild conspiracy theories that Microsoft wants more money. They barely got the game running 1080p with drops to 900p to keep the framerate at 60FPS. The Xbox One is a weak console because they decided to bundle in a camera that nobody wanted at launch then not take a loss on each console like they used to do in the past. The already said they couldn’t do splitscreen in Halo 5. I mean, I’m sure they could theoretically for campaign only if they dropped the resolution super low & frames per second, but everybody would complain then too.
For those who keep saying the xbox one cannot handle split screen. You are wrong. It can, just at a reduced frame rate DURING SPLITSCREEN PLAY which is something nearly all video games have had to do with split screen. It was a conscious choice on 343’s part to build the game around 60fps instead of graphics or content, and as a result we lost split screen. I don’t know why constant 60 fps is so important, when we have to sacrifice graphics (something i think is way more important) and split screen. But as others have mentioned there is a mega thread.
