343, since it is the new season of arena maybe you can update it, In my opinion I am getting bored of “The Arena” because it has been in MM for a very long time on its own (Like 15 months) I know you have introduced 85% bloom and no jet pack and those updates have been very good, but the population of “The Arena” is still low, you seem to update Living dead and Grifball alot without making much change to the competitive side to Halo.
When you introduced the jackpot to arena the population of “The Arena” exploded to a minimum of 5000 people in the morning (UK time) to 8000 people at night (Uk time) And now the population in the morning is 100 and at night it is 800. Arena is pretty much dying, I dont know if the population agrees but how about taking out “The Arena” and adding “Doubles Arena” please try to save the competitive side of Halo Reach, because if you dont it does not seem like Halo 4 will be a competitive game with a good ranking system.
Grims Reaper.
How about a permanent jackpot on Arena? Not as major as the weekend jackpots, but simply a significantly larger average credit offering in the playlist.
Why would you want people to play arena for the credit reward. You don’t want those kinds of people playing arena. They won’t care about winning.
I think a permanent jack pot has its good and bad points, the good point is it draws people into the playlist, It gives people a different incentive to play arena without being ranked. And also if lots of people play arena there will be more high percent people, this means it will be quicker to find games at onyx level, because at the moment it is very hard with the low population. Also, the percent does not reset every season for EVERYBODY, It takes me 10 min to find one person in arena, and one of my friends is finding games in seconds and playing people way below his skill level, how is it fair that somepeople reset in arena and others dont?
I think 343 should defiantly pay people to play Arena, because that is about the only way it will attract a large population in its current form.
