Just letting everyone know Blue Team devoured Red Team on March on Storm Break. I thought I could use the needier warthog to save the day but as always, vehicular gameplay in Halo 5 is severely punished: You drive a vehicle you become an attention magnet waiting to die. And so it happened, I didn’t get one kill in my Needler warthog.
And bs guess what, The turret operators died instantly, no plasma shields on him??? Seriously? How are you supposed to drive this supposedly cool hog if the guy in the back died instantly via headshot with 5 different guys shooting him from extremely far distances. The time for a Needler turret to kill takes much longer than someone shooting the turret btw. Congratulations 343 for considering the guy in the turret. Bravo.
EDIT: Green warthog barely drives faster than original hog. Rail gun kills driver instantly, extra shields my -Yoink-. It’s literally a death magnet. Snipers snipe you out extremely easily.
You should know that there are always negatives and positives to vehicles. There is always a wide variety of weapons that can stop the vehicle.

My expectations were that these vehicles were going to be powerful. To be instantly killed, especially seeing my turreted in several matches destroyed is a joke.

With their low req level that should tell you they aren’t that powerful.

I have to agree with the OP on this. The needler hog is at the same rarity level as the oni hog. It needs a buff because as it stands right now its hardly better than the regular warthog

Me and my gunner were instantly killed by one Rail gun shot.
I don’t know what 343 were thinking, but if those were my warthogs, I’d make you fear the crap out of them like you would want to take cover as much as possible. Instead, it’s more like “who can kill it first”.

just came up with another idea, he could have had an active damage boost on and thats how he one shot you
Sounds like you made an incredibly poor choice of time to use your warthog OP. If you’re being dominated the other team is obviously going to gang up on your vehicle and you aren’t going to last very long, whether you’re in a warthog or a scorpion.
Sounds like you weren’t driving very well either if you let your gunner die so quickly, gotta put that swerve on em. Needler hog has worked pretty okay so far for me, you just have to know when to use it and you have to practice a bit to get better with the gun. If dying is a major problem have your gunner grab an overshield, everybody’s gotta have 100 by now

I only gave 2 because I use them so often… but yeah he did use it at the wrong time
That’s the con of the vehicle, you attract attention, the pro is the fire power. If you wanted to save the day when you were pushed all the way back, I think you would need more then a warthog, unless you was planning to drive to their far base to secure the home base.
