I like using the needler. I think it’s fun putting a ton of needlers into an enemy and watching them explode. However, I’ve noticed that they hardly do anything on these forge maps. Maybe I just suck with it, but it seems like I always get 1 short of making them explode and then they sneak around a corner.
I’m not saying buff the needler or anything like that. I was just making an observation while playing the forge maps. Does anyone else agree?
I disagree.
I find the needler useful for advancing through the map and forcing enemies to retreat or die, because otherwise I’d just get shot trying to run through that area.
Needles are still deadly.
They work well in two situations specifically. 1) Against a target that is standing still or crouching. 2) against someone running out into the open.
These situations happen more often on large maps. But on smaller maps plays tend to move smarter and with cover. You will often find that because needle projectiles move so slow, you don’t want to use it face to face against an enemy. He and his team will likely shoot you dead before you can pump out enough needles.
