Imagine an assassination in which you use your Needler as a melee weapon, stab your enemy with the Needles just like you would with a combat knife, except you can watch your opponent explode into a pink mist of joy and laughter.

That sounds interesting and would be cool to see but not sure it would work out
Well, I was thinking. If the needler was ordnance, it would be more powerful. So what it it also doubles as a melee weapon, similar to the brute shot? If would do around 150% normal melee damage, and when using it for an assassination, it can be used to have the needles come of of the weapon for the animation. ?

Needler should have always had an advantage in melee situations, IMO.
Rip off the biggest needle of the needler and stab it directly on the nape area!

Some said that the Enemy should Explode because of the needles rammed into they’r back (so wasting ammo) or you break off the biggest one and stab your enemy (wasting ammo).
In real life you would not be able to retrieve the ammo again.
So his statement does make sense for me.

I still dot know why 343 nor Bungie have made assassinations more of a gore-typed thing.
That would most definitely be epic! I like it!
I remember the old halo CE melee for the needler and wondered why the needles didn’t stick in to the enemy. ever since I had that thought I’ve wanted it to be a reality, but now since the needler is an ordnance drop there is hope since there should be a way to get an instant kill with it. otherwise people will always take the scattershot over the
needler.
I think it’s a cool idea, but I swear this thread was made before.
I think the animation should be where the assassin grabs the other player by the neck and sticks the Needler to his back and shoots a deadly amount of shots into their back and then kicks the player away and all the needles blow up in their body outside of the animation.
