I would love to see a needler version of a shotgun in Halo 4, and this is me expressing that.
What are your thoughts?

How would that work out if needles explode. I mean if it shot needles it would have to be few needles so it isn’t op.
I would like to see a covenant shotgun. It could be that it fires a few needles that explode together on impact with the resulting damage similar to that of a shotgun blast.
Aesthetic-wise I imagine a similar length and color scheme to the Needle Rifle but with the needles protruding from the barrel as opposed to the top, with a wide barrel. I imagine thrusting the barrel full o’ needles into an enemy as a melee animation.
In my mind, the Covenant needs a proper CQC weapon, Mauler aside as it is sub-categorized as a Brute weapon. Aesthetically speaking a needle shotgun would look badass, but something plasma-based seems a tad more likely.

needler style spiker nades as well i love it needler as been one of my fav things about halo gameplay it is quite an iconic wepon

Like does it blast out an mini explosion of needlers super combined at ones ? or small shots ? ( oh great a necro thread i am sorry )

Spartans had the magnum the first tier… But we forgot about the elites. It would be nice to have something to match the magnum.
And yes a needle shotgun would be alright.
