What if there was a covenant shotgun that fired needles for a spread shot, as a new weapon or a power weapon?
Seems great, how would you expect it to kill a Spartan? Like the Scattershot?

I for one am good for all needle weapons. I was thinking why doesn’t the covenant have a close quarters shotgun equivalent, but then I remembered the energy sword. So I’d have to say it’s ok the way it is.

First the Sword Needler Hog, now this.
it could have a slight homing ability and longer range but only kills instantly on supercombine, to balance stuff
it could also have the upgraded versions with more needles or better range/homing 
(or higher needle speed)

I feel like it would have to be a two shot kill considering it has longer range than a normal shotgun. You know, to make it fair. I mean it’d be very annoying to see a guy with a needle shotgun and blow you up with one shot supercombine from the range of a Scattershot. Either that, or make it a rare power weapon so you don’t see it as often. It’d be a nice edition to the Sword’s weaponry. You could call it the “Stinger”.

I don’t think thats a good idea. Needle weapons kill enemies after steaking at them and exloding. Shotgun is supposed to kil after hitting (if you don’t miss) so I think is pointless making a needle-shotgun
I’m ready for new weapons any, as long as there 100% new not using existing Halo type ammo.

Eh em…scattershot. same idea. But with needles, rather than hardlight.
We need variety not more variations of needlers
