I’m really excited that the Needle Rifle is coming back in the January update. But I really wish they would add the plasma rifle back. I know it’s more than likely it won’t happen, but my favorite weapon in Halo 2 through Reach was the plasma rifle. Please add it in an update.

If they brought back the CLASSIC Plasma I’d be happy. It was sleek, and destroyed shields!

It’s not exactly the Needle Rifle, it’s a variant of the Covenant Carbine that maybe shoots needles or has a supercombine effect like the Needler. I do wish we would get the original Needle Rifle back, but this will suffice.

The Needle Rifle was basically a form of Carbine that could headshot or supercombine with 3-4 shots anywhere on the body. It had a similar appearance and model, but instead was automatic instead of semi-auto.
Be nice if it came back as it’s own weapon though, that is drastically different from the Covenant Carbine.
It would’ve been good but I’m pretty sure the storm beam rifle will stay in its place.
I didn’t know that there bringing that gun in. I’m not mad, it sounds cool!

It’s probley a updated needle rifle.
I understand the desire for the classic plasma rifle. It’s nostalgic, it’s classic, it is in every way as iconic as the SPNKr rocket launcher, magnum, or MA5b assault rifle.
But at this point, the storm rifle makes the plasma rifle redundant. But I suppose the SPNKr is redundant considering the new rocket launcher…

Plasma Rifle is definitely some that we can hope will make a return.
Technically it’s not the actual needle rifle but a modified carbine to shoot needle projectiles.
But I do wish they actually brought the actual design of the needle rifle and maybe making it a mythic weapon with three shots and you explode.
