This.
And no, I don’t really care. It’d be too similar to the Carbine. Right now we have 4 precision weapons that all act fairly different, and the Light Rifle more than makes up for it not returning.
I will miss it to an extent, for it was a good Covenant nemesis of sorts to the DMR. With that said, I think it won’t be a big deal since the Carbine is basically the same thing (if you want to put it that bluntly) minus the supercombine explosion after three shots to an unshielded enemy.

Actually the needle rifle is very different, you could just hold the trigger and spray the guy with needles untill he supercombines.
Needle rifle would have been awesome, it was one of my favorite weapons in reach. If it had benn included then the covenant arsenal wouldn’t have been a complete let down for me(Reach covenant weapons were better).
It encouraged people spamming the trigger for a supercombine. Im glad its out, now if people want to kill they will have more sense to shoot at the head.
It was a cool-looking weapon that packed a decent punch when bleedthrough was in the game. Although with the Carbine returning, I didn’t expect to see my Dolphin gun again.
the reason it was out is probably the reason that most of you are dissapoint about. the supercombine. remember they said in the bulletin that neddles now supercombine sheilded opponents, and since 3 shots to the body= super combeine, im not suprised to see it out. although im still dissapointed, i wasnt very good with it to begin with.
