Needle Launcher in Halo 4?

Wouldn’t it be cool if halo 4 had a needle launcher?

Now, i really liked the plasma launcher in halo reach as it was a great weapon to use on both people and vehicles, and i will rage quit if it isnt in halo 4 as it is a great weapon added to the series.

You know that new railgun, how it takes a little time to charge and it sends an instant explosion at its destination? Well wouldn’t it be nice if there was a covenant version?

Now, i am aware that there will never be such thing as a needle launcher, but i would like to see what you think. It looks nice and fancy, purple, and you charge for a couple of seconds, and it fires a massive needle, and when it hits someone, it goes boom!

How cool would that be? And how awesome would it be if the tornado cannon was in halo 4? If you dont know what the tornado is, it is basically the scarab gun, or that lazer thing the hunters fired in halo 3, or the scarab gun in halo 2? wouldn’t that be heaps fun?

Well, they definitely need another needle weapon in my opinion :smiley: Love them. Hope the needle rifle is back!

Anyway, I have a few ideas for weapons.

-Needle turret? - A balance could be if it overheats, instead of just the normal overheating, you blow up with the pink mist :smiley:

-Needle repeater? - A little like the BR, but different. Doesn’t have a great accuracy, and shoots 3 needles (similar to that of the needle rifle) slowly, like 0.5-1 seconds between each bullet. 1 shot = 3 bullets. The individual needles hardly do any damage, but if all 3 hit the enemy the needle combine effect takes place and the enemy explodes? (So it’s a 3 shot kill, if all 3 shots hit at once). Just an idea?

Note on the Needle repeater - for headshots: Either:
-2 headshots to kill (Might be OP though)
-Still 3 to kill, but the individual shots do a bit more damage.

-SMG (New version, could be called something else) - High rate of fire. 20 bullets in a magazine. Has a dual mag, so after 1 mag, it takes 1.5 seconds to reload, then after the next, 3.5 seconds, then the next, 1.5, next, 3.5 and so on. Extremely bad accuracy, but makes up for it with it’s rate of fire, and average damage (Deadly at close range, pretty much useless at mid-far range unless you have a good accuracy, and even then, the reticle is large (with no bloom, like the ODST one).
-Instead of bloom, your reticle just moves upwards.

-Promethian Rocket launcher - Like the rocket launcher, but looks all promethian-y.
Basically, takes 5 seconds to charge up, with a really obvious laser pointing at the destination (Like the spartan laser one, but orange, brighter and thicker), then fires a rocket which it’s projectile speed is 5x that of the rocket launcher. The blast radius is slightly smaller than that of the rocket launcher, and if the enemy is in the 1st 3 quarters of the blast radius, it’s a 1 hit kill, in the 4th quarter, it takes the shields away. (This is for the average spartan, will be different in campaign, depending on what enemy it is). The enemy is disintergrated when killed.

Hope you like these ideas, obviously they would need counters, and these won’t be in halo 4, they’ve already made the weapon sandbox I believe, and balanced it all out, so yeah :slight_smile:
