Need your help PVE MEGA THREAD/with gametype idea

100 likes (thanks) for PvE before Gamescom Invitational H5 Tourney (Aug 7th). Lets make this happen. I have seen many PvE threads buried deep within the bowels of this forum. Surely we do not want to give them the impression that we do not care enough or the appearance of laziness. It’s one thing to have plenty of these threads, but another to have 1 big supportive push. If no one else, Waypoint can at least show 343 we care enough within a generous amount of time. I know not how much traffic goes through these forums, but the Halo Community is great at coming together to make a difference. If there is any proof of that, check out the playable elites thread.

Now, once we can achieve this goal, I’d like for people to start bombing 343 employees with links to this thread about suggesting PvE. By the holy rings, we shall make it to our destination, cut into the ear infestation of 343 Industries, and burn any wax so that our voices will be heard clearly. The people do not want to be forced to play Campaign over and over, nor do they want any player interference from within Warzone just to get a thirst quenched for PvE. Do not let this opportunity slip by again; strength in unity we have! Do not thank my post if it does mean you want PvE. Now go my fellow Kinsmen and woman, let the hype commence!!

Aside from that I’d also like to propose a gametype I made about a year ago and get enough support from it, so that 343 may consider it to be in the workings. It’s never too late, Richochet came late in the game and plenty liked it. In short, it is an elimination 1v1 team based gametype that I think is needed in Halo (for diversity) and that plenty will love. Click the spoiler below

Player count per team: 4
Time limit: 3 mins per round
Maps: Small
The goal is to eliminate the opposing team through 1v1 style elimination. Each player is given speed boost to increase the likelihood of a confrontation quickly. You kill the enemy, and the next in line spawns and so forth. If you are idle for a minute, you will be forced suicide. If both players fail to kill each other within 3 mins, the next round of players will spawn.

Big Team version

Player count per team: 8
Time limit: 2:30 per round
Maps: Small
It is essentially the same thing with more people, but there is a twist. If you are the last man from your team, you will gain overshield only if the opposing team has 4 players or more left. It’s to give somewhat of a fighting chance.

Sidenotes: Players not selected to play will be able to Spectate the game through their teammate only. Also, the game is continuous. When I say rounds, I don’t mean everything will reset and start over for the next spawned player. The next round simply means the next player is ready to spawn, which then resets the timer during the time of spawn. Party Chat disabled and game chat enabled for each team (spectating or not), but players can’t hear the other team. Party chat disable ensures that communication will be at its fullest. This gametype will require some form of patience, but is designed to go quickly.

What?

What exactly are you hoping to accomplish here? Are you, and these other “PVE supporters” (apparently campaign doesn’t qualify as PVE content anymore), under the assumption that 343i doesn’t have Spartan Ops or Firefight (which apparently is “real” PVE) in Halo 5 because they don’t like it?

It’s not appearing in the game because 343i doesn’t have infinite time, money, and resources to invest in Halo 5.

We’re already getting what is apparently the largest campaign ever in a Halo game, the largest multiplayer experience ever in a Halo game with Warzone, and more multiplayer maps at launch then ever in a Halo game, in addition to 15 more free maps as DLC. 343i can only provide so much content while maintaining a high level of quality throughout. I guess they could have a 6-year development cycle for the game, but you better be willing to spend $100 for the base game at launch to support the additional cost.

I’m sure 343i already knows that people would like even more content than this, including a “real” PVE experience. They don’t need to be reminded of this basic fact. If someone offered me $500, I’m sure he or she is already aware that I would like $1000 even more.

Hopefully 343i can add additional content as DLC that satiates this PVE genre later, but it will likely take a long time to develop because people have insanely high expectations for what “acceptable quality” is for a Halo game. I’m sure that 343i is aware of this, as they are human beings just like us who likely have been playing Halo for years as well.

The troll level technique is strong within you, but really, this cant be all humanity has to offer. A one worded reply? If so, then…and if I face palmed any harder, I’d be holding my brain through back end of my head.

It doesn’t matter why I think they don’t have it. What matters is that they told us that they will consider it to be done, but Josh thinks there hasn’t been enough garnered support to even make this happen. It can always be for post launch, which is the whole point. Is that a problem?
