Trying the yappenning but ffs, most of shots from snipers and shotty are off reticle, how they can advertise esports tournaments when this poop keeps going on.
This isn’t an isolated incident. Some BS like this happened at least half a dozen times during each and every single match. The server connection hasn’t been this bad since the start of the season, it might have gotten even worse since they “disabled” geoblocking.
That’s not lag, that’s a cheater.
Had a similar thing happen to me, found one player that just wouldn’t take damage whatsoever. (Unfortunately game DVR refused to record it.)
I assume the first time you hit them it was from a direction that the game interpreted as “front” or “side”, so it just tried to apply damage to the player, which was prevented by the cheat. You can actually notice the second hit was a backsmack, which in fact doesn’t deal damage but executes a script which instakills the player and is most likely not covered by the cheat. (That is why you can still sometimes see cheaters that have N amount of deaths.)
The only news we got was it being bundled under player experience in the recent video. It deserves a bigger mention because it affects the core game experience.
I found something interesting today whilst playing Quake Champions; I can get it to feel just like Halo Infinite, just by leaving my VPN on so I have like 170 ms ping.
Oh God, thanks for this post.
I mean, yeah, obviously forge is a major event for the game but it’s honestly my last wish for the game actually.
I’d prefer a thousand times a synchronised game, with clean registers and constant servers.
This game need a serious debug work to go forward.
I think adding stuff is cool but it will automatically create bugs causing problems with previous others problems etc…
For the record, I can’t save my gfx spec since the 1st day of the game (I play PC) and support team admits that they’ve got no solution for me since more than 1 year.
Plus, all patches added to the game are causing more crashes in season 2 than season 1 (where I did not suffered any crashes).
Content is good only if the netcode is « healthy ».
“Playing” the yappening has just strenghten in me that idea; I just can’t enjoy a match of shotty-snipes when my shots don’t hit were they’re supposed to.
Same thing happening to me as a guy a few post above. When doing yappening with snipers the guy you’re shooting at can be like 10 ft to either side of the reticle and you’ll fire and he’ll keel over from a head shot when the aim is not even close. It’s wierd
