Need to get this off my chest

Ok this is something that I have to get off my chest because it’s really bugging me. Fist of the update that came out is a HOT FIX! Meaning it’s just a small fix until they can get enough feedback and do some playtest in order to get the update out that’s supposed to fix the gamemode. So for all of you that say that this update is a dissapointment are just over exaggerating.

Now to get into the real reason for this thread. This gamemode does not ruin the name of warzone firefight and we all just need to calm the -Yoink- down. Why did you all expect this to be the firefight you all now and love when 343 said this was gonna be nothing like it? This is not a bad gamemode like a lot of people are saying. It’s just something that needs a few fixes and tweeking to make it better. I just saw someone write that we shouldn’t wait for WZFF to be better and if you also think like that may I ask why? Cause we waited for halo 5 to be “complete” and look where we are now (we waited 8 -Yoinking!- month but we waited) halo 5 is back on the top 10 most played games on xbox one! And we saw the in-game file browser and it looks great!

Back on topic. My problem is that I feel that the majority of the halo fanbase is stuck on nostalgic land that they don’t see a lot of the good the in halo 5 (minus the dissapointing campaign, the lack of content at launch, and the slow process of putting them back in). Also WZFF is 10000000 times better than destiny wich means that this is nothing like it.

Who cares if Halo 5 is better than Destiny? That’s not exactly a high bar to get over. And yes, I’d agree that people upset a hot fix didn’t fix everything should calm down, but Warzone Fireright has some major problems still and we have no idea when or if they’ll be improved.

I do not understand all of the comparisons to Destiny! So what if the current Bungie team do Destiny now!
I remember all the hype for Destiny when it came out, so wanting to play a new game I went and got it. Got bored after a few hours, and have played a few times since then.
Comparitively, I’ve played Halo 5 campaign a bunch of times (I’m one of the folk who actually like a majority of the campaign including the story), and I’ve played multiplayer even more.

your problem may actually be not realizing what a quality game should be. its not nostalgic for people to see how broken this game mode is and that they feel 343 developers don’t have the proper tools to fix it. This whole Halo5 experience has been mostly about trial and error as if 343 has been blindfolded throughout this entire halo5 journey; while they so heavily depend on the community to confirm errors and mistakes with updates (they must apparently have no idea how to recognize a problem and fix it themselves). I (me) as part of the community, don’t want to spend an entire year beta testing, giving feedback on a game i paid full price for (I want to play, enjoy and have fun). And to make things worse, its always someone like you that has to be there to try to convince people that -Yoink- smells like roses. If this happens to be to norm on how game business is ran, no more 60$ halo games for me; because if I had known it would be this frustrating I would not pay over $20 for this. honestly, Forza 6 is the only true XBOx one game worthy of $60 because I spend more time playing the game than complaining on their forum.

I’m sorry but I do know what a quality game is. I know halo 5 has flaws. I even said the MAJORITY of the fanbase and that’s just what I feel SOMETIMES not all the times. I think you can piece together that halo 5 had passed through a development hell by just looking at how it was launched and comparing the game to what we were promised befor hand. It’s obvious that Microsoft probably rushed 343i to release the game judging (again) by the lack of content at launch. You also seem to ignore the fact that I said that halo 5’s campaign was a disappointment so don’t come at me saying I don’t know quality content.

Just to go on the topic of halo and destiny. I don’t know the comparison either. Probably just because of the bulletsponginess of the ai. Oh and to Dr. Halsey, 343 said that they are looking into fixes for the problem so that anwsers your if they’ll fix it :slightly_smiling_face:

I have a “Won’t believe it until I see it” attitude with 343’s statements nowadays given the kinds of half-truths and misstatements they made leading up to Halo 5. So, we’ll see how long if and when the changes come.

i can agree with both of you some. 343 SHOULD be able to make a game that has far fewer flaws at release and we shouldn’t be forced to point them out (and still not get responses on some of them that have been there since launch).

at the same time, having to do that for a year now i think has left a lot of the community in a kind of funk. at this point now, i think it is expected that 343 will screw crap up. but, looking at the game that we have NOW, it is a pretty good game (still with a pretty bad campaign story… but nothing can be done about that now). people shoulda known we weren’t getting the same firefight, cuz its a totally different game. BUT, a lot of what people are pointing out SHOULD have been very readily caught during play testing (did anyone at 343 play a single match on urban in FF?)

Cool I totally agree with this

Eh, understandable.

Like when they hinted at cough black undersuits. Which we still don’t have.

I mean no offense to you personally. You have a very interesting topic.

However, it is safe to say that i’m probably one of those who you feel don’t see a lot of good in Halo5. why? First of all, I been playing Video games since the 80s and happily still is playing in 2016. Unfortunately, some game developers in this day have a trend to release unfinished broken games just to be greedy over a dollar imo. As a result the game suffers in quality; this was unheard of back in the day. it’s kind of like ordering a pizza with no anchovies, but when the pizza is delivered it is loaded with anchovies (buggy game). Time after time we begged to not get another buggy broken unfinished game; and guess what? We get a buggy broken unfinished game. To pour salt on the wound someone who lacks empathy (you) gets bothered and points fingers at the victims. How could you blame me for anchovies in my pizza? this make no sense.

Also, you blaming Microsoft (-Yoink!-) for halo5 failures. if halo5 was an epic game, would all credit go to 343? Look at Forz6, near perfect game. Microsoft also rushed Turn10 to get the game out with a deadline to meet. The difference is Turn10 was able to deliver a great game while 343i fell short. This is not Microsofts fault imo. Basically -Yoink!- told Turn10 to ditch the auction house and told 343i to ditch Cortana. if 343 could not deal with the demands from -Yoink!-, and claim -Yoink!- as the outlier, it would be hypocritical to expect us to deal with unfinished games.

I’m not pointing fingers. You do jave a point but I’m not talking about people like you, I’m talking about the people who blindly hate the game just because it’s “not Bungie” or whatever. You brought up a very good point too.

And about the whole MS thing I said that you can piece together that Halo 5 is a victim of a rushed game. It could be MS, the higherups at 343, or hell even both. Also can you give me proof that Forza was a rushed game? Cause a rushed game is something like Battlefield 4, Sonic 06, Destiny. We also begged for a working game at launch and we got that with halo 5 but the rest fell flat because again, rushed development.
