After any Halo 5 Arena match, the game will fail to find another match 90% of the time. It will sit there supposedly searching until it times out. It will scroll through the text “Looking for Match”, “Locating Spartans” etc but nothing eventuates. It will eventually time out.
If I press B to quit activity then go back in, I’ll be able to find a game again no worries. But I need to do this each and every time (well, other than that one in ten or so).
It doesn’t matter what game type under arena (I haven’t I tried Warzone, but it doesn’t interest me any more).
FYI I’m having to use the Expanded search preference as I’m playing from Australia and it looks the community has all but dried up here sadly. It’s still the best and most balanced console FPS in my experience 
I first noticed this issue maybe 2 months ago, but it’s still occurring. It also affects a friend of mine playing from another console / ISP.
Any chance of this getting fixed in a future patch (if the programming team hasn’t moved on to other projects yet)?
It would be nice for them to look at it for you. I always back out of every game regardless. It just seems to perform a bit better. But as time has gone by with this game none of my friends even play this anymore. The game could use a good maintenance update. It really does need a lot of those. Most problematic game ive ever encountered.

Sorry to hear about your issue op. Are you and your friend both playing from the US? Is the box physically connected to the router? Is your NAT set to open? I recommend both of the above, and also a hard restart before you play the game. If you are using the VOW pack, are you? This causes the games not to load, switching back to palmer will alleviate this.

We’re both playing from Australia, I’ve tried Ethernet and Wireless, a hard reset and clearing the Halo game cache but no improvement unfortunately. I do have the VOW pack however - with Fillion my announcer of choice. I’ll try changing that and see if things improve. Thanks!
