Need tips on aiming in during FFA fights

So in FFA, when you are at a range where being unscoped puts you just out of range for aim assist, would it be better to avoid that gunfight, or learn to keep scoping back in to make the aim assist kick in? In 1v1 situations I usually just run because the extended fight almost guarantees someone’s going to mop us up. If they are fighting someone else, I’ll try to steal the kill(s).

I have been slacking on watching high level play on Twitch. As I get back on that, I will be also taking notes on this point.

In FFA it’s better to avoid it because more than likely some guy is gonna come from behind and kill either you or him or both. Stick to CQC or long engagements when they opponent is already weak.

Personally it depends for me. If they are in a firefight with sombody ill scope in and try to steal the kill. If its mano e mano, ill usually try to get out of it. Better to run and live then tryand more readily gove someone a kill. but i know my strengths when it comes to my playstyle. I tend to prefer using weapons unscopped vast majority of the time. Exceptions being in warzone with much greater lines of sight, using a dmr and or snipers.

As a frame of refernece im currently like 1507 onyx. If that means anything at all.

Normally it would but not really in FFA lol. I mean I only won 1 game and placed T4 the other 9 and got Onyx sooooo lol.

Yeah I should have been more specific about the situations. You said exactly what I usually do.

Best advice is you need to learn to aim not scoped in. FFA you are almost always getting shot from some where so you are always going to get knocked out of scope.

As a Halo vet it pains me to think that anyone would play this game not knowing how to hipfire LOL.
