I think I have found the absolute best way to get them. Use the H2 beam rifle alpha…aka the McDonald’s beam rifle (because it’s red and yellow)… Drop it’s canopy, which it seems to come down quickly with it as you can shoot it a lot since it doesn’t over heat easily…then just head shot the grunt with a br or DMR. It works great, I almost feel bad when I do it because I don’t need the kill any more but I love finishing the rounds quickly. Sadly I would always sell them because I never really used them but will definitely be hanging on to them now.
I just use a Plasma Pistol. Works just as fast. I guarantee it

Tried the sniper br method the other day which is not my forte and someone beat me to it. That someone was you. I have seven left. I’ll give your McDonald’s method a try. How are you positioning yourself to get the best angles? If been using ghosts and aa wraiths to get most of mine. I find the aa wraith semi effective due to its size and the fact that if you get close it blocks other people’s shot and can even boost it away as you finish but this is a cheap way of doing it and I’m trying to refine those methods.

Since you’re aiming for its shield, just being somewhere you can snipe at it from above will be fine.
Your not at like a side angle? just head on? Cause I keep hitting front canopy. I need to practice it some more.

You definitely need to be at the grunt mech’s side to get a easy head shot. If you are right in front or obviously behind him you can’t get the head shot. He sits down in the mech so take that into account with your head shot

I highly doubt this…
Thanks for the tips. I’ll definitely give these a try.

or the sentinel beam or the brute plasma rifle… all great against shields like the grunt canopy.
I finished mine up the other day. Endgame & H2BR for the last couple.
Sorrow of teash works ok to pop the canopy and I’ve seen the sentinel beam used as well. Spartan laser was the most efficient in my experience.
For the headshot portion, I always found it best to be on slightly higher ground or higher ground in general in relation to the grunt mech to get a clean shot at the head.

Are you sure? I’d hate to use the very few plasma pistols I have, even though they can be found when you kill grunts. I prefer using my own gear.

No. I was just kidding about the speed. It can still pop the Grunt Mech shield, though. I just use it because you can usually find them all over the place when the Grunt Mech appears.
I keep killing em and not getting anything towards my comms same with warden smh

You have to land that kill shot. Getting the medal doesn’t count. It can be tough and frustrating. Taking down the grunt mech canaopy and getting the head shot can be tough to do but definitely gives you the kill. For wardens I always found a well time tank shot right before his death was the easiest way to get the actual kill, especially with the oni or hannibal tank.
