I’ve posted on this before, but Halo 4 (even reach for that matter) should allow matchmaking players to swap weapons without having to find a gun on the ground to use just to drop it. Sort of like you can already do with the NPC’s.
For instance, player 1 goes to player 2 and…
Player 1 sees faint message on the hud says, hold “this button” to request weapon swap
Player 2 sees a faint hud message that says, hold “this button” to accept weapon swap (simply dont do it to deny the request)
A simple request and approval would take 2 seconds to implement and it would do wonders for teams. I’ve been killed so many times just going on a hunt to find a gun to use just to drop a weapon.
I am a genetic super soldier with a jet-pack who can single handedly save Earth from the Covenant, but I can’t figure out how to trade my gun with a friend. So sad.
Only if there’s a way to tell the other player to -Yoink- off and don’t ask again, because I bet you, every time some one picks up a sniper rifle, some one is going to but that person to death asking him to trade weapons for the sniper rifle.
No Betrayals for weapons is how we get stuff done in Halo x) but Gears of war has this option and people will almost always ignore you when you ask for a trade so you end up looking dumb with your weapon out.
It could be done to where you wouldnt even notice the swap request unless you were looking closely. Besides, you can be hounded to drop your sniper the way it is right now. I play with my buddies though, so usually something like that is not a problem for me.

If you are getting betrayed just for your weapon then you are playing with the wrong people. Ha.

Well, make it so they don’t hold the weapon out. Maybe the spartan will say “hey wanna trade” or something along those lines instead, and if accepted they throw the gun to each other, and have some awesome animation for it.
