Currently have only four Spartan Laser Warzone REQ Cards - barely any (consider 15 or more “enough” of a REQ)
Every time call in (intended for enemy vehicle, Warden, etc), killed before earn any kills (not matter how careful, stealthy, or traveling-with-team-as-backup/protection I am, still happens) - WASTED REQ CARD, of REQ type that can’t afford to be wasted due to low numbers
Am assuming that NO COMMENDATION PROGRESS CAN BE MADE IN SOCIAL / BTB PLAYLISTS
So:
Am virtually never able to get Splaser kills in Warzone
Big Team Battle Splaser kills don’t count toward Commendations (I am assuming)
Kills with weapons in any Arena mode (including BTB) do in fact count towards your weapon commendations. As such, Arena can be a decent way to have access to free/infinite power weapons if you don’t have enough Req pack spam.
For Warzone, the weapon has basically been relegated to popping vehicles at long range. Slow vehicles in particular are the ripest targets…although sometimes they can also survive the blast. It’s not very reliable… Also watch out for enemy Scorpions pointing their cannon in your direction…
There’s that one variant called the Endgame that has a faster charge time, making it more usable. Someone wearing a tinfoil hat might suggest that they nerfed the vanilla Splaser to make the special versions more desired…
I know how you feel, my normal emblem I use is from the Splaser commendation pack, and I both hate and am awful with the thing. It doesn’t matter about the emblem really though since I can’t customize it to how I always do… (no background, all teal/cyan) Still bothersome to get the commendation done for sure though… I did get the cert for it IIRC but i still dont get many. I almost never call them in just because of how terrible I am with them anyway though, haha. sometimes I grab them to kill vehicles, but rarely succeed. I end up boarding to kill tanks much more reliably than killing things with the splaser…
BTB? not sure what that is. But what you can try is playing with a friend and if you die and he does not mind, he can pick it up for you and when you respaw he can give it back to you, that is a option for you, but i know what you mean not for the laser but for others as out there.
Spartan Laser was the most frustrating to complete. Just keep playing and try to maximize your opportunities. For example, don’t try to pick off single Spartans but rather wait for vehicles with multiple people in it. If you have a problem of spawning and getting killed, try spawning all the way back at your home base so you aren’t in the heat of battle.
Just keep at it in warzone. Saying you don’t get Spartan laser kills there is false. Rock a dmr/br and keep that Spartan laser handy for when a vehicle shows up. Most vehicles result in multi kills. REQs should be challenging.
Also at level 88 I have gotten like 30+ laser cards and I have the upgraded one as well. Must be bad RNG.
