If your Xbox is on speedy power mode, whatever it is, you can find out that you need to restart halo when you can’t access your reqs. Kinda ruins the first game In my opinion, would like if there was some way to tell us to restart halo instead of finding out after you start a game as it usually takes a bit of time for the req system to load up either way.
When I start up the game I check to see if I can open req packs or view my collection. It will immediately show me the options or spin like its loading. If it appears to be loading I shut my xbox off and unplug it and start over. I don’t jump into games anymore before checking.
I turned off speedy restart power mode and have yet to have a match where I can’t use my REQs since…

Not quite sure how this ruins the game.
Either got to the home page, quit Halo 5 then boot it up again, or wait for the game to sync. It only take like 10 seconds to restart it anyway. God forbid you go into an arena match without your precious XP boost you unlocked earlier in the day.
I generally play warzone so when reqs don’t load it is rather annoying to go through a 20 minute match with base pistol and AR. I’ve generally started quitting Halo before I start it up now but I just wish I didn’t have to do that.
OP, what I do is shut down Halo 5 every time I turn my xbox off, so that when I turn it on again it launches it up fresh every time. Hope this helps
I dont know what this speedy power mode is, and at this point I’m too afraid to ask.

There opposite of power saving mode. Basically when you turn the Xbox off it’s just going to sleep mode

Yeah I always forget to do that and I just find it strange that a different message of the day will cause sync errors. I’m whining about nothing but I feel that Halo is the reason for the Xbox success the two should work seemlessly. Boo hoo waaa waaa I know lol.
Thanks for everyone’s input, even the trolls lol.

I don’t think its because of the message of the day…but I guess that doesn’t matter haha
Nah, you’re not whining!

I can understand where your coming from.
Would it not then be easier to instead of buying REQs on your computer while at work/school and then going home to play Halo 5, to just buy the REQs on the colsole before you go in to a game?

Oh I usually spend my req points on the console after I’ve banked a ton. But when I start a warzone match if I forget to quit halo first, none of my acquired reqs are available to use including just the loadout reqs. No SMG available at lvl4 no dmr at lvl6 and the other variants. You have regular pistol regular AR and regular br at lvl3. You can’t call in anything and you can’t change your loadout. Like I said it’s just forgetting to quit before I load it up the next time I play. I’m sure I won’t forget or I’ll just be rushing to get in to a match and forget and pay the consequences. Lol

Doing it on the computer might be worse actually. Anytime I do anything on the site with REQs, it takes a while for the game to sync up again.

Actually when I have used the PC to buy reqs it’s synced before the next game. I’m sure it’s when they change the message of the day that I need to restart it in absolutely positively certain if this lol.
After as long as I played MCC I am used to doing a hard reset just about every day before playing Halo.

Hahahaha no I wouldn’t be surprised if different users have different issues, there’s a lot of crinks in halo 5, not too many game ruining crinks but a few nuisances.
