Lookin’ good, everyone! I’m AvoidSpiltJuice, and I’d like to get right to the point of this thread. This is gonna be a rather long post, but I feel the need to explain everything in detail, so I’ll try my best!
See, back in Winter of '07, I got this idea to make a Halo 3 machinima. I put a ton of work into it initially and at one point had a ridiculous amount of people helping me out. We forged all sorts of maps as sets, made appropriate filming gametypes, and spent long, grueling hours filming. Having to shout over up to 15 other people over XBL and coordinate them all was no easy feat.
Production went all the way into early '09, but things sadly began to fall through the cracks little by little. Firstly, I didn’t have the proper tech at the time. I was still working on obtaining a capture device, as no store in my town sold one. I was very inept with editing at the time as well. Another major factor was that my best friend IRL, who pretty much contributed to the story just as much as I did during later episodes, moved away and ended up breaking his Xbox. I honestly didn’t feel right to keep writing without his input. Halo 3 was sorta on its last leg at this point anyways, so I decided to more or less can the project.
That is, until Halo 4 came out. While Reach didn’t really have what I needed, Halo 4 did. I started re-watching some of my favorite old machinimas, such as Deus Ex Machina, and decided I would re-make my series in Halo 4. I’ve already got a few people on board, but I need…your help!

So I’m a bit more prepared this time. What I need is mainly voice actors and/or body actors. You can also help contribute some to the story, provided it fits with what is already there and you have some experience in writing like me. Help with forging maps and making gametypes is also greatly appreciated.
However, you probably want to know about the story itself before you get into this. No sense in going in blind! I’ll hit you with a quick summary here.
My machinima, entitled “The Elegy Chronicles” is about a dystopian future with a borderline-monarchist government. After the political structure as we are used to it more or less cratered, a mysterious individual known as Mark Fisherman took over as governor and supreme ruler. Since he had no one to compete with, nobody opposed him. He went a little overboard with his newfound power and divided the remaining cities and settlements between the higher class, and those less fortunate. Of the cities allocated to the latter group, Elegy is perhaps the most prominent. One of its residents, Aaron, becomes fed up with the way everyday life has become, and, upon hearing reports of Fisherman murdering the innocent for entertainment, decides to gather his friends and form a team of mercenaries to bring down his corrupt rule. The series will feature action, drama, and perhaps something more.
So far I have about ten episodes written as drafts, with the full script for the first episode finished. I have also forged maps to be used as sets. The following is a small list of rules you should follow if you choose to be of help in my endeavor.
*Have a decent amount of armor unlocked. Nothing too fancy, but most of you far outrank me, so that shouldn’t be an issue.
*Be competent, respectful, mature, and coordinated. Don’t join just to troll.
*If you’re going to do voice work, use a PC mic. I’m not recording you over Xbox live, it doesn’t sound good.
*Do what you can to minimize lag. Turn off dat 7 tabs of -Yoink!- in the background!(lol jk)
And yes, before you make a post about this, I am doing this over Xbox live. I’m aware that you can’t lower your weapon over Live, but I’m prepared to deal with that.
