I just can’t play Halo 4 anymore. I haven’t spent more than 2 hours on the game since the last episode of Spartan Ops came out! I occasionally go back with a few buddies and we try out some new customs, but it ultimately gets us bored within the hour. Now I’ve been part of this community for a very long time and I’ve been following Halo since RvB was released.
I just have no motive or want at all to play Halo 4. I’m not yet Max rank but numbers beside my GT really don’t mean anything to me. So i’m asking for suggestions on how I can get back into Halo.
I’ve tried competitive and it’s not really for me. Not because i’m not good enough, it’s because it’s pretty stressful and not only that the population is rather small at the moment making finding a team slightly hard.
I have every achievement for the game other than DLC (Which i’m not buying) so that’s also another reason for me to not jump on.
With other Halo’s I had some sort of motive to keep me going. With Reach it was the weekly challenges, they were great because the leveling up system was so hard that you HAD to do the weekly challenges to have any chance of ranking up and ranking up actually benefited you more in Reach as many of the cool armours were only attainable once you had enough credits.
Halo 3 was different though, that game was so new and revolutionary for me at the time, i’d never really played anything like it before as it was my first multiplayer FPS so it kept me playing for quite a great amount of time simply because of the fun aspect. Custom games were much better too, days were spent on them alone.
Give me some reason, a motive to play Halo 4 again waypoint. Pls
You don’t need a motive, if you aren’t a fan of Halo 4 anymore, just return to the older titles, there are still passionate player who still play them. But, if you are really in a pickle and want to return to Halo 4 but just can’t, just remember that Halo 4 is the only game where you can hold a Binary Rifle or instant respawn - it doesn’t get any funner than that

I’ve been playing alot of Halo Wars recently, the problem is, i’ve played over 30 days on most of the older titles, i’ve played them ALOT i’m tired of them I want something new, but Halo 4 is really not giving me anything to work with. I have no reason or WANT to play it. If I had some something to strive for maybe i’d go back but the game simply isn’t fun for me which is sad because I love Halo
i play the older ones much more. i have them all and i play at least one a day (campaign player). i can barely bring myself to play halo 4 as well since for me anyway, the campaign blew for the most part.
I do. I only have a complaint on the in-game ranking system. I love playing it now, the kill times and balance are closer to Halo 2/3 and the armor abilities are fine, makes the game more challenging not knowing who has what but yet all remains balanced at the end of the day.
I play because I grew up with Halo, love the franchise, and want to believe that Halo 4 can be good. But I stop playing when I would’ve kept on playing previous titles because personal ordnance, crappy spawns, lag, upgrades, and everything else that makes the game imbalanced pisses me off so bad.
No, but I find myself playing more lately. I left and played bf3, blops2 and oblivion for a while but with all the changes they have made H4 is a little more enjoyable. Slayer Pro is fun, the DMR is still slightly too powerful but it’s definitely moving in the right direction.

I hate it when people do that. They haven’t even completed the campaign and they make comments like that.
I only made the post because I feel like i’ve done everything worth doing on the game and are pretty much done with it, I don’t have a reason to keep playing like previous titles. Spartan Ops was supposed to be that thing that kept you coming back but that ended really fast…
I haven’t played in weeks, been honestly waiting to see how far the changes they’ve been making lately go.
Other than the weapon balances, nothing they’ve added so far really pertains to me (non-competitive) and I’m still hoping they do something to the Casual playlists and gametypes to make them more fun. Also I would much rather see a Custom Games update be worked on for the summer.

I feel like people aren’t producing very good customs on this game. On Reach and 3 me and my buddies would come back on all the time to play customs, but for some reason the Halo 4 minigames that are coming out just suck to be honest.
I don’t know if it’s forge that is ruining it or what but i’m certain that custom games are nowhere near as high quality as they used to be. Mini Slayer and stuff like that is nothing compared to the Halo 3 fatkid mazes or the Halo Reach hunger games/Speed Halo stuff. Nobody is coming up with anything creative

The major problem is the Custom Game Options are weak and lacking.
You don’t even have 70% of what you could do in Halo 3 in the Options.
Customs that later evolved into Gametypes later like Regicide and Race were actually created originally by expansive gametype options.

The spawning seems to be weird too, like I can’t make a standard Indiana Jones map because the killball decides to spawn when it wants, even when I have it set to a specific time. Same with all objects really. Not to mention that the Grid can seriously lag the game out. I hope for Halo 5 we actually have a full terrain editor like Far Cry. Surely a billion dollar game like Halo can afford something like that, especially with next gen tech.
