I have been searching around the forums and have come to find that you need to be online for waypoint to acknowledge that you beat the game on legendary. Sadly, I am now one of the many that beat the game and waypoint didn’t register that I beat the last two missions on legendary.
Now, I don’t need anyone telling me that I did it wrong or the way to do it correctly. I know that I beat the game correctly. I know that you need to beat the game cleanly, only using save and quit and resume campaign. I know that the commendations are not connected to your achievements. Lastly, I know that you need to be connected to the internet for waypoint to register your completion. Having said that, it should be clear why I am upset. I should not be punished because my internet connection went out on the last two missions, period.
There shouldn’t be anyone giving me excuses especially anyone telling me to “suck it up” and do it over again. The fact that people on these forums are defending the mistake is baffling! Why should anyone accept and foot the bill for someone else’s mistake? This could be a reason why this problem isn’t fixed yet. If we don’t have a voice and instead decide to be passive then nothing is going to be accomplished or at least in a timely manner.
Here’s an analogy before I’m finished. Now, I know the work put into the two is not comparable but my point is if a football team won the superbowl and if for some reason the NFL didn’t register their win, that team should not have to replay the game.
All I’m trying to say is that people need to be more assertive and instead of rolling over should be more upset and not willing to take the answers we have been given on this issue.
I do have to say that I really like Halo 4 and enjoy playing it. After this, I’m going to beat the campaign on co-op with my friend and hopefully get the armor I was supposed to the first time. Needless to say, I can still be upset about this issue until it is solved and I hope it gets resolved soon. I hope more people take note of this example and let their voice be heard as well.
