Need more Custom Game Settings

As the title states, we are missing a lot of the custom game settings that many, if not all previous halos have had. Such include (or you could say, do not include) anywhere from Team Doubles, Non-Competitive Team slayer to Rocket Racing and Infection. I stated in another thread (https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/forums/6e35355aecdf4fd0acdaee3cc4156fd4/topics/no-infection-custom-setting-what/c1796bc8-470f-48b6-9cf1-223bb8754b09/posts?page=1#post3) How shocked, and ultimately, disappointed i am with such a breath taking game to lose so many more aspects that have contributed to the casual scene.

I’m only a diamond in Team Arena, and only an Onyx in FFA(I’m not used to this ranking system, and last time i played Halo was Halo 3, so i’m pretty sure i’m still low on ranking system) so i can’t say I’m anywhere near hardcore, but I’m not quite as causal as some of my friends, but i still think it’s important to have all different aspects of the game to allow a full and rich enjoyment and satisfaction from being able to get the most out of what you buy.

As i noticed, and I’m sure others have too, that even without Forge being here, yet… You can still make custom settings. Well, again, as stated before, a lot of the custom settings have been gutted, and not for any good particular reason. Some of them will allow master minds to be able to craft some of the most bad -Yoink- maps out there. And some of those maps are the complete opposite of being a MLG competitive map. Some of them are for the sheer fun and enjoyment of playing with friends and family whose sole purpose is to have fun without the pressure of always being successful, or letting others down.

As i’ve said in another thread:

> However, i didn’t find any settings for infection, which plays a big role in game variants such as cops and robbers, one of my most player custom game variant back in the day on Halo 3. The 2 guards would be the infected, and the prisoners would be non infected. This allowed for the Wardens (infected) to have different customization from the prisoners (Humans).

> With limited rule customization, i feel like there will be a huge decline in forge map variants. I’m not the best player, and only ranking at a low diamond at the moment, but i do enjoy playing countless hours in custom games with friends. Not only that, but again, i love to actually make maps. So although i will be able to make maps for slayer or king of the hill, i will never get the true satisfaction of a real “custom game” where the objective isn’t necessarily skill based, but more fun based.

> TL:DR Will we ever see more custom rule options in the future such as infection, or maybe even rocket racing variants too? We have a lot of customization already, but we are still lacking in customization that previous Halo’s have had, and i fear that when Forge is released, i won’t be able to be as creative as i’d like too, and it will deeply limited what i have to work with.

Others have also stated their dissatisfaction for lack of game modes. One player went as far as to saying how he wishes there were more non competitive game modes.

I know I’m not the only one. I am hoping that Halo 5 reintroduce some of these, if not all of these game modes back soon. If there is a reason for delay, then i can understand, and i can wait. However, if there are no plans to make these game modes have another appearance, then as a customer, I’m not sure if i will continue to support the franchise in the future. Halo 5 is a great game for competitive play, and i have no arguments there. Warzone is fun, and the campaign (for me at least), is time consuming (which is good), frustrating, and fun. The game in itself is not disappointing, and i would recommend whole heartily to all my friends.

However, if changes are not made for the better of the game, i don’t see me playing a halo 6 anytime soon after it’s release.

I must agree, with reach I had a plethora of variants for traits, leader traits, scoring types and values… I made a game type Swatroids, but without the things that are missing, i fear swatroids is going to be phased out

Yeah forge isnt as good as i thought in fact its kinda trash especially with the controlls but i can get used to them. It just bums me out to see all the good things in halo forge go away
