Need help!

Well my xbox messed up last week (getting a new one soon) so I downloaded and installed the Halo Combat Evolved trial and it worked perfectly… until today! When i double clicked it, I got this message “A problem occurred initializing DirectDraw. Hardware acceleration maybe disabled, please run DXDIAG.” I ran dxdiag and it said no problems were found.

Here are my computer specs:

Gateway NV53A
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
AMD Phenom II N660 Dual Core Processor ~ 3.0 GHz
4096MB RAM
DirectX version 11

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250
Approx. Total Memory: 1913MB
Display Mode: 1366 x 768 (32bit) (60hz)
Generic PnP Monitor.

I’ve googled the problem and spent hours trying to figure out what’s wrong, but can’t! I need help please! :frowning:

Try uninstalling the trial, restarting your PC and then reinstalling. That worked for me.

from what i can tell, it installed wrong. uninstall/reboot/then reinstall. or it told you to reboot your computer and you haven’t yet.

Still no luck :frowning:

You should probably try Xbox Support:
https://twitter.com/#!/XboxSupport or http://support.xbox.com/en-us/Pages/default.aspx

Oh sorry I saw “my xbox wasn’t working” and “still no luck”…oops

Googled around for a bit… can’t find any solution! :frowning:

I’ll try making a post on the xbox forums, they have a section for PC games as well.

Has anyone else had this problem? If so how did you fix it?
