I have looked online and asked one person but got nothing regarding this.
I’m on the PC so I’m guessing I can’t but I’m going to ask anyway because it can’t hurt to.
When waiting for a game to start and all the names are up to the left of the name is the colored area with a helmet. I’m simply looking for a way to do that or how you do it. I know there are nametag skins and I can’t use them on PC but the other part is a mystery to me. Does anyone know what I would need to do to change it from the old white and gray color?

I’m not quite sure what your are talking about but I think what you are looking for is the emblem. I’ve kinda forgot exactly where so if i’m wrong i’ll be sure to update tomorrow but check the customization tab where you can change what your armor looks like and one of the options besides the armor pieces should be an emblem section where you can pick and choose which one will be on display.
I play on xbox so I hope this helps and good luck.
If you’re talking about emblems a d you’re on PC, I don’t think you can change them in afraid OP. As far as I remember you can only change your emblem on the Xbox One version of the game.

A bit late now, but it would be nice if we could edit our emblem on Waypoint like we can our armor.
Perhaps Halo Infinite will have this functionality.
