Howdy y’all. I need some help remembering the name of a map built on Forge World from OG Reach that was part of the 4v4 Team Slayer playlist that you could vote to play on. This map does not appear on the MCC. It’s the only one out of all of them (such as Eden Minor, Renova, Treasury, Pulse, etc.) thats name eludes me and it’s really bothering me. I don’t know why this is the only one out of all of them that’s name I can’t recall. I have tried firing up OG and having a look but it’s not in my temporary history of games played so I can’t find it, and I’ve tried searching online and haven’t been able to find a list of them all so I’m going to try and describe it as best as I can for y’all and hopefully someone can remind me what it is.
Both teams spawn on either side of the symmetrical map, not in view of one another, facing a ramp that has a plasma pistol on it, and at the top of the ramp if you ascend it, it turns into a long hallway with a sniper rifle spawn at each end, and a few of those Covenant energy shields are placed all along it for cover. In the middle of this hallway it splits left and right, and if you go one way it leads to a hole in the floor from which a gravity lift on the lower level propels you through, plus one or two plasma battery things positioned around the corners. If you go the other way you can either descend down a multi-tiered ramp in the middle that eventually goes left and right and wraps around to where both teams respective spawns are, or you can go down one of two really narrow corridors, that each have a spiker rifle spawn in them. At the end of both narrow corridors there is a hole in the floor that you can drop back down to the starting spawns.
If you choose not to go up the ramp that you are facing at the beginning, you can go under it and into another room that has UNSC crates in it, and at the point where they meet in the middle there is a grenade launcher spawn. Behind that spawn is where the aforementioned gravity lift is. Again, if you choose not to go up the lift you can ultimately wrap around both ways to another ramp that takes you back to where the snipers spawn that I mentioned.
It’s a relatively small map and it is totally enclosed (you can’t see the sky). The only other things that I think I can recall correctly is that there were either needle rifle or dmr spawns leaning on the walls at the entrance to the rooms that have the UNSC crates, and there may possibly have been a concussion rifle spawn on or at the bottom of the multi-tiered ramp (this I’m very hazy on). I don’t think there are any plasma grenade spawns anywhere either.
It’s been a while since I’ve played that map, and OG Reach in general (2019), plus it was never popularly voted for, so that’s why I’m struggling to recall the name so if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated as this is going to bother me forever. Even someone who knows where to find a list of them all would be greatly appreciated since I’d work it out right away if I had them all in front of me. Thanks.

You are thinking of Affinity my friend. Great map, very well described btw haha. Idk why they took this and so many great maps out of MCC. But you are forced to play reflection powerhouse and Battle Canyon over over and over without vote. The lack of voting system, and being forced to play maps that are rarely voted for and deemed just okay is the major flaw on MCC to me.

Yes yes yes that was it thank you so much!! I honestly don’t think I would have ever remembered it without having to make a post like this. I’m surprised with myself for how well I memorized the majority of the map since it’s been so long, although I got a couple of things slightly wrong after going and watching a video of it, I still did pretty well. I actually really miss playing on some of these Forge maps, in particular this one and Pulse. I feel like once those OG servers are switched off for good late this year, that a piece of history is going to be lost along with it. I truly hope that 343 finds a way to incorporate all of these maps into the MCC rotation at some point. Apparently, from what I’ve read around here, is that a lot of those Forge maps had bugs and exploits that weren’t quite right for MCC hence why only a select few have made it to the MCC (like Synapse, Kingdom, Ellul, etc.). It makes me sad thinking that we may never get to play them again post that. Thank you again though, I can sleep easy tonight!
