need help on last level legendary at last segment.

so I need some help completing the final level of Halo 5 Guardians on legendary. I’m stuck fighting the last group of knights and I can’t seem to kill them all without being killed. Any tips?

Also if someone could give me tips on how to bypass the wardens in the previous level that would be awesome.

It’s been ages since I completed it on legendary solo, but I’ll do my best to help. I’m pretty sure that the splinter turrets are key, use them to tackle the knights, and use heaps of cover. Send your squad mates to target knights, and when they die, don’t revive them, but once they all die find a nice hiding spot and wait for them to eventually respawn. I have no idea if this works, but off the top of my head I feel like that is something I may have done when I completed the game on legendary myself.

wish i could help, -Yoink- tooough

Been ages since I completed Legendary, but I always found the same basic tactics work throughout: Distance, cover, use your teammates. Some levels are way tougher than others and relentless with their fight, but you can do it. If your team are falling best leave them and they will respawn eventually, but at least in the meantime you can continue putting some fire down from a distance and from cover until they reappear.
Good luck with it! It’s not an easy thing, but a great sense of satisfaction when you do it. Plus, I think you get the Lone Wolf emblem if you do so Solo? I use it with pride.

If it’s the three warden fight you’re on about, you can eventually take them out by using the same sort of tactics and if you get it right and engage one at a time the other two maintain their positions in the arena and didn’t seem to attack as much as the one I was engaged with. I stood on the platforms with the centre pillar so I could move, take cover, use the team, target the one you’re after, leave the other two alone or scarper if they do chose to engage (not that you can avoid the evil beggars if they chase you down!)… again it might well take a few attempts to do it. One thing that can work is move your team to a position that draws the warden’s attention then hit the shiny ball in his back. If you can get close while his back is turned (not that it’s an easy thing to do!) use a scattershot if you can to hit it, it seems to do lots of damage.

-OR-

I’ve also seen a sneaky tactic to avoid the fight altogether (not in keeping with the sporting ethos you understand): Enter the arena and sprint to the left, use the zip jumper to fly over arena centre, ground pound onto the top of the high structure in the middle, sprint run and jump-boost toward the exit platform then ground pound onto the sticky-outy bit. Jump up, run for the exit door. The end cutscene will start automatically thus ending the fight. Hey presto, you just won it!

Keep at it and join the elite ranks of us Lone Wolves!
Regards

Thank you

I just started over and did the mantis glitch made it alot easier in the final room but you may not want to do that.

What’s the mantis glitch

Basically you place ghosts in front of the barricades that keep you from taking the mantis into the room with all the knights to begin with and you walk over them and the barricades in the mantis. (there should be some YouTube videos about it)

Preparation: I know this is a late post and you’ve probably already done it. The 3 Warden fight is actually pretty easy. Arm all of your teammates with incineration cannons and do your best to keep them alive, even if you have to revert back to a checkpoint, if you can’t manage it there are I believe 7 incineration cannons you can get before entering the boss fight (4 from knights, 3 from weapon racks), make sure you have a binary rifle and incineration cannon and full splinter grenades (all of which can be obtained in the fight before the boss room)

First Two Wardens: Use the two massive pillars for cover and spam the command button like crazy to keep your team there (the AI is dumb, deal with it), lure one warden forward and focus fire him down (aim for the back for extra damage and use the charged shot of the cannon). Do your best to keep your teammates up (the only time I would suggest that in Legendary campaign). Repeat for the second warden, you’ll get a checkpoint for each warden you kill.

Third Warden: This is a bit tougher since focus turrets also spawn in. I suspect you’ve run out of ammo by this point so run to the two side stashes before you kill the second warden to fetch a lightrifle more grenades and a spare incineration cannon. You can destroy the turrets with about 4-5 shots from the lightrifle when the turret opens to fire its beam (it takes extra damage), once you’ve destroyed the turrets then you can focus on the last warden, you don’t necessarily have to kill all the turrets (they despawn if you kill the third warden) but it does help.

Other things: The two massive pillars at the entrance are your best option for strafing the Wardens and for cover against the homing orb attack, use thruster pack to dodge laser attack from Warden, keep away from melee range, try and keep you teammates alive and spam the command button to direct them, pay attention to the motion tracker so you don’t get caught by the Warden. I am aware you can skip this fight but I find this fight easy enough that it doesn’t need to be skipped
Hopefully this helps, sorry about the large block of text but I’m a bit of a stickler when it comes to strategies and tactics in the campaign.

None of this is even necessary. As soon as the fight begins, sprint to the nearest man cannon and launch yourself facing the middle platform. When you hit a peak height, thrust toward the middle platform and ground pound. You may pound into the edge, but you can still clamber from there. Once you’re on the platform, just sprint towards the door beyond and the mission ends. I got it on my first attempt after learning about the trick.

I’ve said this already, I know you can skip this fight, but I’ve beaten Halo 5 on Legendary a bunch of times now that the 3 warden fight is easy and doesn’t need to be skipped by my standards.

But who wants to beat it legitimately? Not me, js XD

Well I was able to FINALLY complete the entire game on legendary over the course of several days. However I have yet to be awarded the corresponding achievements.
