28000 points ‘missing’: XBOX-Live sent me here: On July 5,’15 I completed a wargame challenge of ’40 matches won’ for 28000 cred. As of 1230 am EST (July 5th) – total points reflected the addition. As of 0800 EST (July 6th) the challenge still showed complete, but my total points were reset to reflect a debit of 28000.
[Question: a) how do I get my points back? b) XBOX-LIVE states my halo-4 profiles on is my 360S hacked? - how do I scrub and reload the HDD on the 360?]

Good evening.
There has been a glitch with Halo 4 regarding challenges where if you complete a challenge and do not play another game to update your Halo 4 stats, sometimes the XP you were given from a challenge is not properly updated and due to it, you lose the XP given to you by that challenge. I had it happen to me as well. Unfortunately, you cannot get the XP back other than by playing more Halo 4, or if you haven’t used the Classified Section of the Xbox 360 Halo Waypoint App, look up some Glyph Code sequences and put them in for some free Halo 4 XP, armor, and emblems.
This is a bug, not a hack by another person. A hack would have been detected by the automated banhammer and you would have been permabanned and/or XP reset to SR-1 with no armor other than DLC and recruit. If Xbox Support told you that, they said it to get you to leave because they didn’t know how to help you. There is no need for a HDD format.
I hope this helps and have a nice day now
