Need help finishing Mission 6 on heroic par t

I need help finishing Mission 6 of the campaign on Heroic on Par time (trying to get the achivment)

so, every time i play it, i have all good skulls on, and near the point where you’re supposed to get the rhinos to position 4 and 5, my base get overridden with hunters, and i can get them off me
no matter how many units i have prepared, or how good my turrets are

you can always air lift them to the spots with pelicans, just send a couple units to hold/distract the enemy just long enough to get them into position. have rhino position 4 locked down with units before you put the rhino on position 3, position 4 is easier to hold than 5, only a couple locusts to deal with. Its best to do this with both 4 and 5 but obviously time is a factor. Just make sure rhino at postion four has some bodyguards and make a mad break for the last one, just a few tanks (3 or 4 w/ upgrades would do fine, especially if you put spartans in them) should be all you need to draw the fire from the pelican and rhino long enough for you to lock it down in the right spot, easiest to draw fire best if you move the tanks behind the enemy outpost and shades. dont bother trying to save the base if you cant, not like you need it to win.

my strategy is to lock down cobras at each of the positions, it works well, but then the enemy ALWAYS just sends a pair of hunters via spirit dropship in, and my cobras can’t get to them, they all die
i’ve tried putting flamers with the cobras, but they die anyways

WHY DO THEY USE SO MANY DAMN HUNTERS???

As im sure youve realized cobras are useless against hunters, if you want vehicles try scorpions and the flamethrowers instead, dont forget that flashbang and shrapnel shell. I didnt have too much trouble with this, as far as i remember thats how i beat it, even on legendary, but here is another source that might help you

Basically just says get everything prepared early before taking any rhino positions and to go all marines with a few flamers, locking down positions before placing the previous rhino spot. Pretty much same thing i said just with marines and since you are having so much trouble with hunters going all infantry might work better for you.

this mission is easy.

the first thing you want to do is make sure that all skulls are turned off. yep all of them; due to the unique way the halo wars ai works activating any skull makes the ai more aggressive and you don’t need the skulls to win anyway.

put spartans Jerome and Douglas in the oni air towers, send Alice to the bonus reactor furthest away from your base and put a marine in the one at the back of your base. build 4 turrets and make the back ones anti-air and the front ones anti-infantry. now sit in your base and tech up your units and get a good mix of tanks and wolverines; and if you’re really worried about hunters make flamers too. don’t call in any rhinos until you have all the units you need built and upgraded. put your tanks near where position 2 will appear and put flamers and wolves behind, call in the first rhino and your wolves should spawn kill most of the dropships while flamers and tanks clean up. call in the second rhino and your tanks should wipe out the covenant mini base before it builds. third one you just need to pelican. for positions 4 and 5 try to have some units already there especially at position 5 because covie buildings will spawn there and pump out hunters non stop.

Someone needs to make one. FOr mission 6 i had my spartans hold the towers near the base, a marine in each reactor and to hold the rhino areas i just had 2-3 wolves sit by the rhinos for the most part the covy units won’t even make it to ground as the dropship will be downed. I also had the remaining wolves patrol the gangway between each rhino spot to prevent any dropshops landing in between. I din’t really even have to deal with many ground units. And the Wolves volly helped me take down the covy base at each rhino point.

for the last 2 to the far right of the map. I believe the buildings don’t spawn until your given the objective to take those area so i had a couple of wolves in there ahead of time to gun down the halls before they could start pumping hunters.
