Hello, i know this topic has come up before but i would like to get other people’s answers in a simple straight forward manner, instructing me on what i need to get/do exactly please.
Ever since i have had Halo 4 since it came out, I have not been able to use file browser on the game. I have a 4gb xbox 360 slim and had to use/still use a usb drive yo play halo with, since i didnt have enough room on my console hard drive. What do i need to do to be able to download and play gametypes and maps on halo being it dosent work unless i have an xbox hardrive with the space needed??

You don’t need the space, but you do need the hard drive. What you refer to as a “hard drive” is actually Flash memory, and the console you have doesn’t have an actual “hard” drive. You’ll need to buy one separately. Personally, I recommend this one: It’s on sale, too.
Gametypes, Forged maps, and films are pretty small in size, so you ought to be able to save them to your flash drive along with the War Games content. Gametypes are only 32KB and Theater films are usually 1-3MB.

Having experience without a Hard Drive, I can tell you this first-hand: space is not an issue. Not having a hard drive, is. I don’t know what’s so special about an Xbox 360 hard drive that makes it necessary to watch Theater and access the File Share, but there is something in it. Without a hard drive, these features of all Halo games are off-limits.
Thank you, this helps a lot!! I saw some other cheaper ones that have lower gb but still the all work! I just never really wanted to download maps and stuff until now so it’ll be useful to get that, thanks!

Yup. Also, it’d be wise to get an official hard drive for whatever 360 console you have, as those are the only ones that support backwards compatibility. That’s especially helpful for playing Halo: CE and 2.
