Need Help, ADS & Ranged Gun Fights

Does anyone feel pistol ADS tends to be less precise while strafing in ranged gun fights?
I would love to know if I need to lead the reticle a little (Halo CE) or just always focus dead center regardless of distance. So the same rules apply regarding precision weapons (BR, DMR)? I notice my struggle quite often in “Swatnums”. Long range gun fights do not favor my aggressive strafing it seems. I have not played Halo earnestly since H3, so this may very well be my deficient gun skill. For the most part you guys have been extremely helpful providing feedback in these forums. Excited to hear how well everyone is adjusting to Halo 5.
I welcome all insight. Thanks.

Due to the fact that in SWAT you can trade kills with someone on SWATnums; IMO would say its projectile & not hitscan. So yea, lead a bit.

Thanks Frag. Plan on testing it tonight.

I agree. I tend to struggle in longer ranged fights with the pistol. Any tips? Leading a little more is a good place to start.

You’re not trading hits due to lag/latency to server, you’re trading hits because there is a buffer in comparing who killed whom and how long before the other. Leading your shots won’t make the weapon land any better. Firing it when it’s red will.

Shoot for the body first, then aim for the head after the shields pop. The M6 has 0 spread so it’s all in your aim when blue, in your timing when red (reticle).

Very good Reaper. However I am not referring to “trading kills”. My concern is strafing with or without ADS during ranged gun fights. Is there more/less bullet lag or magnetism depending on the weapon and distance which you are engaging in?
