NEED HELP ABOUT ACCOUNT!

My wife let my 13 year old son (ronniesuperspy) play halo reach with a friend. it was his first time playing halo online and didn’t understand that he couldn’t just leave games whenever he wanted. well, he wanted his 5 year old sister to play with him and my wife let her use my account. when I got home I got banned from earning credits and a warning that I could get banned from matchmaking if I left anymore. I wasn’t even home.

I don’t know how long I am banned or what I can do to get off the ban?

Xbox support said to come here, is there anyone here that deals with this???

It is likely you were banned on mistake for having a few games with no kills and a ton of deaths.

As for your ban being lifted, it is unlikely, the ban is unjust, yes, but 343 are not paying attention to this flaw with the ban hammer.

Come on, I get banned from halo reach for my son not being good at the game. Wonderful lesson to teach kids. If they are great, they might as well quit!? What junk!

I agree. I’m not banned nor have I been, but from what I’ve read its that 343i turned on the banhammer to turn up the heat. For all those he kept complaining their not like Bungie. Well they’re not and thanks for that! They’ll get it figured out. I would recommend pm that bs angel and the support through here. good luck.

No, unfortunately. The “banhammer”, as it’s called, is fully and entirely automated.

I can understand your frustration. If it’s any consolation, your credit ban shouldn’t last too long. Usually, one’s first credit ban will last for 24 hours, and the next will be two weeks.

I agree that the quit ban was a bad idea, and that the 0-kill ban (a bad attempt at trying to stop AFKers) was an even worse one. Those were both Bungie’s mistakes, though. 343i is now in charge of the Halo franchise, so hopefully, they will know not to repeat those mistakes when designing Halo 4.

You were right, the credit ban was 24 hrs thank god! I still get the message for leaving games and that I could get ban for that… So thank you everyone for the feedback. The banhammer is in my opinion, is not the worst thing, but auto patrol of a KIDS game(yes I know alot of adults like myself play) is a little silly and over done. I think the gaming industry is forgetting that consoles are still marketed at children first then adult gamers. Maybe a ban from MLG is understandable and I myself get upset by people that try to mess the game up for everyone else, but lets remember that it is a game. If the worst thing in halo multi was quiters, i think there are better ways to solve it. I get more annoyed by the people that are stupidly good at this game but start over so the can be matched with less difficult players more then quiters. Just saying there are bigger issues to worry about in my opinion.

BUT thanks everyone!!!

You’re welcome.

Just so you know what to expect from here on out: it appears you’re still on “quit probation”, which is why you’re receiving a warning message. What this means is that until your probation ends, you’ll be locked out of Matchmaking for ten minutes every time you quit. Quitting while on probation can also lengthen the amount of time you spend on probation, and no one seems to know how many quits cause probation to be extended, so be careful and try not to quit unless it’s an emergency.
