I am at a loss on ffa. I keep consistently getting 8 plus more assists thsn anyone else on ffa and lose by that amount. My csr 1639 has evapourated and i just cant work out ehat im doing wrong. I win almost all my 1 on 1s but keep getting spawn killed as well or just cant find anyone. Anyone have any advice? I just feel very down about my results atm. Or do i have to just camp all day long?
According to Halo tracker you are Onyx in FFA, is this correct? If so then you are not in a bad spot, maybe just a few mental changes in aproaching the game. The key to FFA, in my personal sub-onyx experience, is KSing everything. If you initiate a 1v1 battle in FFA more often than not it will be stolen from you. Maybe hang back when you spot an enemy until an engagement starts, then pick off both players?
To answer your questions directly, spawn killing is inevitable; It sucks, and there is not much you can do to get around it. The spawning system is designed to spawn a player in a safe area (an area that is not currently being observed or seeing any negative action ie; nades, stray bullets etc), which in FFA are few. If you are aware of this you can influence spawns by drawing attention to an empty area, forcing the system to spawn a player elsewhere.
Not being able to find players is the drawback to dropping the player limit to 6 on maps designed for 8-10.
Have you attempted to rewatch any losing matches and draw conclusions from those?
I have but generally it seems like im just having consistently bad luck. Like i should have turned left but i turned right. Or i spawn in the middle of engagements. I was onyx 1629 but now down to onyx 1500. I may just try camping even though i hate it. I seem to win most 1:1 still but seem to have 2 to 3 on me at any one time. Man im confused. But thanks for your tips; i will try some of them out.
Scratch that. The csr system is broken and wont let people rank up oroperly. So i probably have been playing right after all, well until i changed it up wrongly
