I heard that no armor, armor skin, or weapon skin is actually exclusive. It’s all obtainable in the game. And it’s either just available instantly for people that preorder through certain retailers and you have to complete things to unlock it if you didn’t do the pre order that it came with. Or 343 will wait some time and then release it to be unlocked for everyone.
Does anyone know if this is true?

Not true at all for the first part, they will remain exclusive to those who have went out of there way to get them.
As for 343i releasing them to the public in the future, they are brainstorming ideas on how to give other players this content, they haven’t confirmed if it will happen yet.
As for the War Games Map Pass, yes.
All it is is a special marked 2000 MS Point Code with the exclusive helmets & emblem, you don’t even need to spend those points on the map packs.
I honestly can’t remember where they said it, but I remember them saying that all exclusives related to editions(fotus armor and lightrifle skin, AR skin, Recruit skin) will remain exclusive and not unlockable or purchaseable in the game. All pre-order bonuses(retailer armor skins and the arctic br) will likely be made available sometime in the future.
