Should I pre-order the Limited editon? I just need to know what the fellow Halo community thinks.
Thanks.

Are you rich and willing to spend money just to get some armor and weapon skin that’s exclusive?
if so yes.
I purchased the fotus armor card for 150, LE for 120, and SE pre-order from gamestop.
It’s totally your choice. If you think it’s worth it just for the maps (which you can get anyways), the armor skins, and FUD, then go ahead. If not, then don’t get it.
I pre ordered the LE, its worth it here: standard edition: $99 (average) wargames pass $35.
Total: $134
LE Cost: $129
OT: But its up to you really.
I’ll let you decide. Here’s a list of features, take them as you will:
> • War Games Map Pack Access
> The competitive multiplayer modes of Halo 4 are known as War Games. The Limited Edition includes access to nine maps - three future competitive multiplayer map packs, each including three locations, available for download post-launch on Xbox LIVE. Yes, you read that correctly; you get nine maps in the form of future DLC with the purchase of the Halo 4 Limited Edition. Score!
>
> • Specializations
> Everyone will have access to select Specializations, but those that purchase the Halo 4 Limited Edition will receive the ability to unlock six Specializations early, available at launch on Xbox LIVE. You can use them, one at a time, to achieve higher ranks in your Spartan career. In addition to gaining access to new ranks, Specializations unlock new customization options. We’ll be releasing more information about Specializations at E3, so expect additional details about this particular feature then.
>
> • UNSC Infinity Briefing Packet
> The UNSC Infinity Briefing Packet includes a Spartan armor customization schematic, information about UNSC weapons, an introduction to the massive ship UNSC Infinity, and insight into what it means to be one of humanity’s finest warriors: The Spartan-IVs. Story lovers will especially enjoy this in-fiction offering that provides a glimpse into the indoctrination of Spartans aboard the Infinity.
>
> • Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn Special Edition
> The Special Edition of Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn is a 90-minute extended version of the live-action digital series which will take fans back to the terrifying beginning of the Human/Covenant war, when the Master Chief inspired a young cadet who would eventually become a leader aboard the UNSC’s greatest vessel ever: the UNSC Infinity. Digital content also includes in-fiction bonus content that expands the characters and stories of Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, special featurette Bringing Gaming into Reality, and a behind the scenes look at the making of Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn.
>
> • Bonus digital content through Xbox LIVE
> The Limited Edition includes the following bonus digital content through Xbox LIVE: unique in-game Spartan-IV armor skin, unique in-game weapon skin for the Assault Rifle, an exclusive in-game emblem, Xbox LIVE Avatar prop, and Xbox LIVE Avatar Spartan IV armor set.
If you like what you hear, then definitely! Personally, I think it’s more than worth it.
if you have the excess 40$ and love having all the little side halo collectibles go for it.
STandard is a cheaper route and you practically dont miss out, it might save you money for the map packs. (i just save up bing points and XLive rewards to buy that kind of stuff)
If you play standard you will still get the early specializations VIA email if you play H4 before Nov. 20th a code will be sent to you.
Are you loaded like Mitt Romney? If so then go ahead.
Well, can someone give me the pros and cons?
Depends.
Some people here are of the opinion that it’s not worth it due to several items they thought were exclusive turning out not to be so.
As for me, I believe that altogether, it’s worth the price. You get 3 map packs, a few armor and avatar stuff, and the various physical packages that come with it.
not really worth it imo…
i canceled my LE preorder to the SE
then canceled my SE preorder to the Halo 4 Console =)
I’m poor. I’m getting the standard edition
> I’m poor. I’m getting the standard edition
Ha.
Well, thanks everyone!
> I purchased the fotus armor card for 150, LE for 120, and SE pre-order from gamestop.
sorry for off topic…but you can sell / buy the fotus card? and is it really going for that much?
> Well, can someone give me the pros and cons?
If you get LE, you get early access to all of the specializations when you reach SE:50 before anyone else (they get them a bit later), the 3 map passes, and the physical content.
If you get the map pass seperate, you get the Strider and Scanner helmet.

Can we please keep politics out of the forums? It never ends well…

Lol I rarely buy games. Last game I bought that was over 60 was MW3. I bought a few games after that but they were less than 15 dollars.

Yes, its on ebay. DLC comes with the console and you can do whatever you want.

Also finding a LE at this time are becoming harder to get.
I’m only keeping my Limited Edition pre-ordered because I’m too lazy to cancel it, and it makes me slightly special to have a few things that others don’t have. I might just sell the LE when I get it for a bit more.
I really like how all the map packs are paid for you at the start, do you know how much I detest Microsoft Points? They’re very expensive if you want to buy your Points towards a purchase, and you’re always left with Points that is good for nothing except Gamerpics.
People are really buying FOTUS for 150?
My god that’s sad and pathetic. I’d disown my child if they were willing to spend 150 on that.
I may burn my FOTUS card on youtube, just for the hilarious comments it will cause.
OT: Yes it’s worth it. Most people who are saying they got “ripped off” are not good at reading. I assume most of them only wanted exclusive armour.
I don’t see the obsession with armour. You couldn’t even change it in Halo: CE or 2, and those were amazing titles.
