For the past 2 months, I have been in what I can only call a funk. I can’t land a shot, for whatever reason. I’ve spent countless hours in an octagon and I am nailing them there but I can’t seem to finish them in games. I am constantly dying in an average manner, nades seem to just hone in on me. I feel as though the game is out to get me at this point lol. I’m losing battles that I feel I should win. Essentially I went from a high level onyx to someone that can barely keep up with diamonds. Any help would honestly be appreciated.
Anything changed in your connection settings, you changed ISP, router, NAT type or something?
It’s been like that for us in the UK since launch. \hardly worth playing

I don’t think so, but even if that were the issue I dont want to blame it on that. I feel like thats just making excuses for my poor gameplay
sometimes I just cant aim for -Yoink-. just chalk it up to a bad month.
Take a break op. I had your kind of day yesterday. Time to put the controller down. I did readjust my aim to 3 from 1, but not sure if that makes that much of a difference. I will be readjusting back to 1.
Mabye your just burned out on the game. Mabye you should just put the game down for a bit, come back mabye a day or two later when you feel refreshed. If that’s not the case than play FFA, playing lots of that increases individual skill a ton. Still not the case? You could just be having a bad day, tomorrow or the day after you will probobly be fine.
Grind WZFF for a while, good area to practice your shots etc… You have to dodge a lot of stuff in that mode too, work on the jukes.
Everyone has bad days sometimes.
Just play something non competitive for a little bit.
I kinda felt like this yesterday… It happens. The day prior, I grinded with a team for like 9 hours straight lol. My shot was feeling good… I think it was the longest I’ve sat down to play this game.
Yesterday I could barely hit anything… nades flying in out of nowhere like you said, spawning in awkward locations. I didn’t even make it a full 2 games before I just quit out and shut off my Xbox lol.
Sometimes you just need a break… Sometimes you can take a day or two, jump back on and straight up wreck everyone haha, it’s weird…
I would try and get your aim back in one way first and then work out from there. How often do you play swat?
Yeah I tried taking a week off, and I came back and still couldn’t break out of the funk
Works for me a lot, check your control settings, I’ve noticed if I don’t get a chance to play during the week, and I load up the game Friday night, Saturday morning, my aiming sensitivities and other presets have been reset. Strange I know.
Also, try practicing with the pistol only. If you get really good with the pistol, from my experience, handling other precision weapons will be breeze.
Third solution, make a new account, get the rust off, once you feel confident with aiming again, get back on your main. I did this a few times cause I ranked up waaaaaaay too fast and got slammed with higher competition while still trying to find my groove. I would go 20+ mins, maybe average 5 kills? It was horrible, so I switched accounts, got into a pool of players at my ability (maybe less due to the butt-whooping I was taking prior) and got my game up.
Hope it helps!
Trust me, I’ve been in your situation multiple times. Take a break, walk it out, play another game or just chillax, return whenever you feel like returning.
It’s feels awesome to be skilled at slaying in Halo. But when you stop playing for few days, you kinda lose your edge or some skill while mostly everyone is still playing and slaying effectively on a regular basis.
I think that’s what happened. You gotta build yourself back up again.
