Grenades that just happen to come upon where I am on spawn is worse then ever than any Halo I’ve ever played. MY grenades don’t kill when it’s on top of fools, but me? The game decides I got hit with a nuke.
Also I know this has been a Halo thing since it’s conception, but something about grenades being used EVERY time as a first move in a gunfight is more infuriating. Maybe it’s the bouncing and inconsistent damage that sets me off with rage.

Spawning itself needs to be fixed. I have played probably ninety matches or so, and I can count on both of my hands the amount of times I have spawned in while something lethal is on its way to give the enemy a free kill.
It sure is fun to spawn in when a skewer is heading for my teammate, spawning in as the sudden secret service to President Spartan Yoroi.
Or better yet, spawning in and being directly in the line of sight of a sniper to give him a free kill as he is just scouting about and suddenly my character loads in and dies before I can even take seven steps.

This isn’t a grenade problem, it’s a spawn problem.
Other Halos have a Spawn system where you are spawned always out of LoS of the enemy, but that also means if the enemy controls the LoS, they can pretty much guess and predict where you are gonna pop up by process of elimination. (learning this spawn system and using it is also a skill to learn)
But here’s the thing with Infinite : they made it entirely random, and have set spawns for each team.
So you are essentially FUGGGEDDDDD if your enemy just spams a spawn location and sights the other, they are gonna nail you the moment you pop up either way.
Grenades in Infinite are more inconsistent too due to Desync screwing everything up.
Sometimes you get chipped, sometimes you get chunked for 70% of your HP.
I feel like reducing the frags at spawn to 1 would solve a lot of problems overall. Nades are strong in this game, and way easy to spam and get kills with.
Or reduce the cooldown between throws.
Infinite’s Grenades come out so fast, too fast.
I can empty my entire stock of 4 grenades in 2 seconds, and that shouldn’t be happening. H3’s and H Reach’s throws have a delay between them, and a very noticeable one, which made people lead grenades instead of just yeeting their entire supply.
You’re going to have to rely on Custom Games in order to get that because 343i will probably never even consider it.

Enabling Friendly Fire would help a lot. I don’t nearly get grenade spammed as often in Ranked.

Grenades feel way weaker than in previous games. I think it’s the long fuse that really throws me off.
Are we playing the same games? I can’t tell you how many times I’ve spawned directly in front of a sniper, a warthog, or the entire enemy team in previous games. Infinite seems better to me for this kind of thing, actually.

do they? maybe that’d explain why i never get as many death from the graves as I use to.
A gamemode in halo without grenades? Cant remember if there was ever a gamemode in all halo titles without grenades.

Y’all never played strike at karkand in battlefield 2 I guess.
32vs32, everybody starts with 4 nades. And every support player had unlimited grenades to give to himself and teammates.

Fusion coils expload when they land though grenades take longer to explode I love tossing fusion coils, though i think they’re called plasma coils now … also plasma coils don’t show up in certain maps like live fire and bazzar
