Played some arena games. Hit detection was off, people wouldn’t die no matter how many head shots I did / they’d kill me in 3 shots. Left a game. Played another, same deal- takes me 9 shots to kill people; takes them 3. Got to the end of the game: “you have lost connection to the server”,
“The banhammer strikes”.
Okay, I left a few yesterday…and now i’m banned for 24 hours… Let’s play warzone and chill out.
Okay, so the shots arent getting registered and im on 20 assists in 5 minutes… Nevermind. At least ill get a hefty load of req points.

I’m now getting 1-HIT KILLED from people in warzone.
Forget the fact that when people have no shields, it takes another 3/4 shots in the head for them to die…but now they can kill me in 1 punch when I’m FULL HEALTH.
How many times do I have to make excuses for the game before it’s obvious that its a steaming pile of poo? How hard is it to implement games with at least an average to good connection ? How hard is it to make UI that doesn’t slow the game down to 3fps? (Just wanted to add that one in there).

The people punching may have the Strength Armor mod upgrade, which would one hit melee you, or the may have an energy bayonet on their weapon, which is also a one hit melee kill. I don’t know if this is true, but it may sort out your one hit melee issue.
Though wifi can play a big role in this, it is mostly the 343 servers fault. I played titanfall back a while ago and I cannot recall any games being forcefully ended, though I’m sure it happened a time or two. Halo 5 seems to have games lag, then just end entirely, like we just lose connection to the server. The worst part is that I’m generally doing well and winning when this happens, then naturally the game ends. I play another game and lose and though this isn’t always the case, it is very frequent pattern. A actually went a while with minimal problems maybe a couple months after launch, though they’ve returned in full force. Arena seems slightly worse than warzone as a side note.
The strength mod armor is great news. I’d rather get owned legitimately than by some server-side issue.
Halo definitely lags more than other games, and it’s so much more noticeable becasue the main weapons are single shot weapons…ive also noticed that arena lags more; which is a shame as team slayer used to be my favourite
no, way !!! i from brazil all games i have low ping but hallo 5 no!!! this dedicated server in usa -Yoink- my life in halo my choice are stop play halo like the most people of here.

not saying OP you are exactly this person, but on the topic of bad internet i have seen so many ppl complain about laggin out then come to find out they only pay 20-40$ for internet and i just face palm on my end and shake my head like way to go guys blame 343 cause you cant invest in decent internet.

Yes. That’s why my connection is stellar on every game bar halo. Why would I get my mother involved bro, are you dumb?
PS, we have fibre optic broadband. It’s definitely this game. I’ve been with halo from the start, I can tell when my shots don’t register , and when someone gets a kill they don’t deserve (especially in arena). I’d rather I was just a bad player.
PPS, some of you are defending the game’s connection but have a solid negative Kd? I know it’s not always important but…
Anyways, let me add that when someone on my friends list experiences what I’m talking about, they flip out and record it on xbla. While I’m just sat here experiencing it every game…
Xbox live has been having problems the last couple of days. Try bringing up the xbox app and see if it works. Mine isn’t working. Xbox Live is working. You might try going into (on you xbox) settings/network/details and see what kind of latency number you have. 50 give or take a few is the sweet spot. Mine is usually at 46-47. If your latency is too high it will warp you out of the game (server will drop you). It usually will put you back to the lobby with no game loading. I don’t know your living situation but see if others in your family or roomates, are streaming Netflix or downloading that will suck your bandwidth down. Also take into consideration that its spring break and there’s heavy traffic on 343 servers right now. I usually don’t have too much of a lag problem but I have noticed this week that I’m even worse at hitting a target than I usually am. FYI: Ping is the time it takes to get from your PC to the server. Latency is the time it takes to get from your PC to the server and back. Latency (or lag) is what you need to watch.
