I’ve been enjoying both settings but no bloom seems to be the winner for me.
Which do you think Is better and why?
Personally I like NB because it feels more faster pace and and feels more Halo.

indeed
kill times are too fast in zero bloom.
I dont like bloom period, but I like 1 second kill times even less, which is why im addicted to TU DMRs

it’s hardly 1 second kill times. unless you somehow manage a lucky 5 shot with the pistol, then it might be like 1.5 seconds.

in zb slayer, kill times on the dmr are 1.2 seconds.
yes it takes a lot of skill to pull off but under laggy conditions its FAR too fast.

like I said, I need a capped ROF to emulate H2 or bloom on the last shot that makes you pace (85%)
And if everything I said isnt compelling enough, zb makes the DMRs range on par with the snipers range, I know its supposed to be a utility weapon but its crosshairs are ridiculous.
85 and zb are both good but I like zb better. Here’s some kill times for people who care:
Halo CE pistol: 0.6s
Halo 2 BR: 1.4s
Halo 3 BR: 1.5s
Halo Reach ZB DMR: 1.5s
For standard Reach, 85% would be okay as long as they nerf the Needle Rifle’s automatic fire capability. Zero Bloom works only with better player traits, at least 110% movement, 110% damage resist for consistency.
> Zero Bloom works only with better player traits, at least 110% movement, 110% damage resist for consistency.
Agreed.
Personally, I think that 85% bloom is even worse than normal bloom. If you’re pacing your shots with 85% bloom, you can now shoot faster with optimal accuracy. This means that compared to normal bloom, you can now fire more shots with optimal accuracy while someone spamming as quickly as possible still fires the same number of shots. But 85% bloom also means that the spammer will miss less of his shots and thus can kill you even faster than before.
Sorry if I sound like a tryhard but MLG ZB ALL THE WAY!
> Sorry if I sound like a tryhard but MLG ZB ALL THE WAY!
ZB yes, MLG no. Nothing against MLG itself, I just don’t like some of their settings and map variations.
I think no bloom at first can feel a bit non authentic for this game. At least that’s how I felt when I first played MLG customs with some buddies. It didn’t feel like it belonged in this specific “halo” game. But over time I’ve grown to like it. It makes it hard to go back to bloom though once you’ve left.

I guess that means u like 85% bloom. I dunno faster kill times make the game run smoother. You get in in a dual, it ends, on to the next. Not sitting there straifin for no reason and still missin shots.
115% bloom!
