I always liked the complex names the best names for Halo maps, they sound much more mysterious and when you finally get to know what the name means, you understand it fits the map perfectly. But in the end, the map name isn’t the quality desiding factor, but an alternate name at least for Wraparaound would be good, something fancy that describes the map.

Yeah, Doom Fortress is just a little joke. But if I had to give it a serious name, I’d go with Workbench.
“the pit what does that map even mean, sounds boring,” when they first heard of the pit
I think these maps were named this way because:
they were meant to describe the maps direction of movement (wraparound is kind of small and easy to get around in a short amount of time as stated int eh bulletin so far)
or they just wanna tell us what it is (warhouse is literally a war house)
they might just be temporary names.
dont worry theyll have some intelligent names in there. Bungie did the same thing with their maps as well:
-the pit (i avtually love this map a lot trying not to rag on it :p)
-narrows (has narrow hallways and corridors)
-Beaver Creek
some of their greatest maps had the simplest names get my drift?

I thought the name “The Pit” sounded interesting. Although thats usually because when I thought about the word pit, I thought of a dark cavern with spikes and battles to the death occurring in them, like from Mortal Kombat.

Yes, yes I would. However, the pit from halo wasn’t dark and torture filled, but I liked it nonetheless
