Does anybody else think that these should return from Reach and possibly MCC? They weren’t exactly so special in Halo’s multiplayer but it would be fascinating to have these again in a similar manner to Reach
If name plates were to return I’d like them to be a bit more stylistic. Maybe have them glowing. The way SFIV, V did theres is ideal.
I wouldn’t mind seeing them a bit more customizable. A wide variety is always welcome though.
As long as I can maintain my Reclaimer / Marathon emblem, I’m all in for this.
Preferably not asany as what the MCC had. Or at least a greater variety. Make it so you can unlock the background colour and pattern as well as the symbol. So completing the campaign on legendary gets you platinum with the legendary symbol but completing it on LASO gets Chief Green with chiefs helmet as the symbol
I would LOVE for the Reach style nameplates to return. And most people who know me, know, I was not a big fan of Halo Reach.
The nameplates that you had to earn commendations, achievements, or play all the Halo’s to get certain ones. But we can expand on it, a lot.
Hover over a character and you can see their character in full display while also showing their rank and small Service Record. Please let this return

I’m 100% down with the return of the classic nameplate system.
I do think that there should be some rarer icons that can only be unlocked through tasks. That’s not to say, though, that we shouldn’t have the original classic lineup at launch.
I’m talking about those, “Ah, man! Where did you get that emblem?”, “I got it for killing 500 grunts in campaign on Legendary. Thanks, bruh.” moments.
Yeah, I really enjoy the MCC’s nameplate system. Maybe we could add an extra tier on top of the metals (bronze/silver/gold/plat.) and have onyx, like how we had onyx commendations in Reach.
I’d like to see them return. I feel as though they should require a challenge to unlock them. Like completing the games on legendary, unlocking a certain achievement or reaching max rank.
I’d like the nameplates to work like in the MCC where you unlock them by doing specific things. Except it would be good if they were more interesting looking than the same four colours repeated over and over again with a different white symbol each time.
I hate how you can’t even see peoples names in H5 loading screens, just a cropped version of their emblem.
