Nameplates won’t return because that aspect was never transferred from Bungie to 343, it was fully removed once Bungie updated their website for Destiny. This has been talked about quite a lot on the forums over the past few years.

Yes it will - it’s exactly the same as playing on the 360, anything you can do there you can do on the X1. The X1 will basically be emulating the Xbox 360 (think of it like playing gameboy ROMs on your PC)
