You can no longer change your nameplate, ever since 343i took over you’ve been unable to change it.

Endless Owls is correct. If you are to visit your Bungie.net account, if you have one created, select your Profile, Game Settings, and then Nameplates you would see a box that says the following:

> The data on this page is no longer being updated. The last update was 03/31/2012. For live Halo data, visit halo.xbox.com.
